I can only tell you how I do it..
Turn the camera on and plug the cord that came with the camera into the camera and the other end into the USB port of your computer...that's the small rectangular slot in the front or the rear of the tower.. The pictures should upload automatically...Now send the pictures as attachments in your email.
You might have to make the pictures smaller...depending on your camera settings the pics might be as large as Egypt...click on "Resizer" link
and download "Image Resizer"...listed on the right..when done you can right click on your pictures and in the drop down select "Resize Picture" to the size you prefer.

generally it depends on your camera, you should have a book with your camera telling you how to upload the pictures, it might use a cable or it might have a dock that connects to your pc and sends them, also your camera probably came with some software to use for your specific camera.

The way I do mine is very simple and works with any camera. You will need a memory card reader, some computers have them built in some do not, I bought a small simple memory card reader that reads many types of cards. The card reader plugs into a usb port on the computer, then you take the memory card out of the camera and insert it into the appropriated slot for that type of memory card into the card reader. It will then open a box on the pc asking what you want to do with the files, you can choose to save them to your computer which is what I do, then once they are saved to your pc when you write your email you just click on attach file, browse to where ever you stored the pictures on your computer and select the picture to attach.

Just be sure anytime you use something plugged into a usb port, before you remove it look down in the systray by the clock for an icon that allows you to safely remove the usb item, click the item and wait till it says it is safe to remove.

Please - always resize your pictures. Don't just attach them.

They are HUGE if they are not resized. If you send them to someone on dialup - it takes forever to get them in the inbox.

There are many ways to resize. Often, whatever software you use with your pictures has a resize option.

If you are using Outlook Express - you can right click on the picture in the My Pictures folder and select SEND TO -> MAIL RECIPIENT -> MAKE MY PICTURES SMALLER - and it will automatically open an email with the picture attaced in resized form. You can attach more than one picture by holding down the CTRL key and right clicking.

If you have Windows XP there is a nifty little power toy to resize also.

YES Carol that is the one you need to use anytime you are unplugging anything from your PC USB ports, just click that then select the item you are wanting to remove and wait till it says it is safe to remove.
