open the email and look for an icon that is a clip or pothograph camera, do click there, then select the file from your pic are, open it and click on pic you want to insert in your email .....done.

best if you tell us what email you are using so we can try to be specific, is it yahoo, hotmail, etc let us know that.

I have outlook and I'm using windows and I have a Dell my provider is comcast.As you see I know little about computers I need you help.

You should see the tab "Insert" second from the left at the top of the compose window. When you click on that you can choose either to attach a file (the left-most item under "Insert") or to insert a picture (further to the right). In each case when you click to add your pic -- as an attachment or picture -- you will have to browse to the file in question.

If you insert the pic as an "attachment," the file will display right under the Subject line of your email, and your recipients will have to click on that file to open it when they get your email. If you insert your pic as a "Picture," your recipients will see it 'inline,' i.e. in the body of your email.
