windows live email not sending with photo

I need help with windows live email. I used to be able to add pictures to my emails by clicking on the insert tab, then the single photo icon. When I do that now, my emails will not send, not just the pictures don't show up, but the whole email doesn't send. I don't get any error message, and it does show up in my sent items. This problem started a couple weeks ago. It will send if I add pictures using the photo album key, but I liked using the single photo option. I'd appreciate any help you could give me.

I'm not at my Windows 7 computer where I have Windows Live Mail, but if I remember correctly, up near the top there is a little icon to click to send a photo or photos. Look and see if that is the case.

Thanks, but I can send photos that way, just can't send them using the single photo option. If I do it as you suggest, it sends the pictures as a photo album all grouped together. Sometimes that's ok, but I'd like to be able to send several pictures separate where I can write something under them. I can't do that as a photo album. Can I?

ok, so anybody ever had a close encounter of the really freaky kind?/ I have never been attacked physically, but while in Columbia SC once, I was at a car wash near the college. This dude materialized out of nowhere and started asking me if I liked bargains, cus some people nearby 'were moving and had to sell everything'. I told him great, cus *I* was moving to the area and needed everything and would meet him at the address... THEN he started telling me that the place was in a basement... I use live hotmail as my primary email and have not had any of those type problems at all so I can't help much other than to say mine does not do that. I would check the settings options and see if you may have something in there set that would cause that? Interesting that it would go ahead and forward that same content once you had sent it to hotmail from yahoo. try instead of doing the copy paste with the right click instead do the control c and control v to copy and paste and see if that works, I remember reading some where in some instances the new live preferred that method over the other.

Thank you for the reply. I did delete everything, 2 items, in my outbox and it's working okay today. I did the same thing,deleting, a couple days ago and it didn't work, so who knows, maybe it just needed some rest time:) Thank you again, this forum is one of the best on GW,certainly one of the most helpful.

Since there doesn't seem to be any one sure way that will work for everyone, why not just create a Photobucket album (or someplace similar) and send the URL of it. I know some folks I send URLS to, find the links are not clickable. I've also been told that they were not able to copy and paste the URL either. One friend just totally doesn't know how to copy and paste and doesn't seem to want to learn...says it just makes her 'nervous' to try. I've just given up on sharing much via emails with those who are so computer challenged. Oh...the one who said she wasn't able to copy and paste a URL I sent, was a link to an item on Amazon. I'm thinking she just didn't know how to do it. Sue

I do not use Live as my main email account but you can attach photos individually. Seems odd that they cannot be inserted as you would like. However if you attach them you could then refer to each photo by name and add your comments that way. Not as nice perhaps but it does offer a solution perhaps.

Send an email to yourself using that method to see how it looks for you.
