yes there will be an option at the download area to continue on with the free version or the option to get the pay version, I just did mine recently with no problem at all I did the instructions just as they suggested removing the old then adding the new and all is well.

I do not know why you would not have it showing in Add Remove it should be, do you show it in your program files area?
if you do a search for it on the pc does it find it?

Since I can't find SpywareBlaster in Add & Remove should I just try to download the new version.. is there anyway to delete it from where I do see it? I don't see a way.

Have you looked in /Program Files/SpywareBlaster Folders to see if there is an .exe file name sounding like uninst.ext or uninstall.exe or unin000.exe ??
Double click it if you see it and feel confident its sounds like an uninstaller.exe

Mikie all I see in programs are some dbt files (what ever that is) & a shortcut.

I found this in Windows but afraid to mess around in windows without being told to by someone with knowledge..like you..

Does it show up in Revo Uninstaller? That is how I reomoved my Spyblaster, before installing the new version

I installed 4.2 right over the top of 4.1 without any problems.

Janette I downloaded Revo uninstaller & it isn't there. What I don't understand is that the shortcut on my desktop seemed to open it & had me disable it. How can I disable something that doesn't seem to be there?

Tumbleweed.. I will never know if it is really working. By all signs mine is working..just needs an update. I think I'll just download the update & hope for the best.

I downloaded it.. installed & got the popup below.. after several tries I just clicked ignore & seem to have it.. at least it is in add/remove but not sure it is working.. it looks OK at least..

You can try going to start> run> type in> regsvr32 (space) msstdfmt.dll> Ok.

regsvr32 msstdfmt.dll

Or

Go to start> Right click > Explore > Program files> SpywareBlaster folder> uninsooo (Setup/uninstall). Removing SpywareBlaster and doing a new install for 4.2.

I would run Malwarebytes to make sure your clean> Good luck!
