I've Been Botted!

G'day to all!

Just went to a website, and RUBotted popped up and told me I'd been botted, and did I want to remove it with (Trend)HouseCall?

Downloaded that, ran scan, and it said nothing found!

Yet RUBotted says I'm still botted...

Would appreciate any suggestions...

Personally, I would download,install, update then run Malwarebytes(free) also, to keep stuff like this from loading again, download, install, update SpywareBlaster (free). Update SpywareBlaster every few days for new signatures to keep the newest junk from loading and run(always after updating) Malwarebytes every couple of weeks when doing your system clean

hi Shax been missing you!! how is the trip going?

RUBotted is a legit and good program I have recommended it here before.
This is the link to the real one just to make sure you do not have some fake one.

If you do have the legit RUBotted and it is telling you that you are botted I would try running a few online scans as well as malwarebytes of course, I know you have it so just update it and run a scan.

So good to hear from you, too, Luckygal! And, wow, you sure did good for 1 day of GS'ing! sounds like a lovely camping trip...always enjoy being by a lake, too! And such wonderful dish bargains! I'm going to post a pic here from GJ that you might enjoy...that I saved in my future projects album...someday, I may find the right statue to try one of these and collect enough seashells...don't find them often here in the corn & bean fields! LOL! I LOVE your summer/beach vignette...that painting is what makes it come alive...I can hear the ocean! My thought would be to print a picture of your house on 8 1/2 x 11 paper. Overlay a piece of tracing paper. Following the outline of your house and windows draw the basic shape. Then shade in, also with pencil, the stone areas. Then draw in your two outside columns. Now try several variations by drawing in perhaps arched header across and a middle arch. Or perhaps two centered columns. When you beef up your columns the ones to the far left and right need to be the same. If you choose two columns flanking the white wall they could be smaller. Make sure your structure is not compromised. This tip was given to me by my daughter who is in the building business. Also, I think a front porch railing would date your house. Then decorate the blank wall with furniture, plants, and walk decor. If you paint the house, I’d choose a color taken from the stonework as opposed to the stark white.

Thanks, genes and R-C...(trip going well, thank you, except I've lost nearly 24lbs, and I was never what one would call "large"...please send a pot of your seafood casserole with extra crawdads!).

Forgot to mention that immediately after the "botted" message, I did update and run MWBAM, SuperAS and Spywareblaster, as well as that HouseCall one, none of which found any problems.
Possibly a false positive?

Will try a couple of those online scans...
