A room with just tub/shower and sinks?

We're looking at different options when we add a dormer to the front of our Cape, and one of them sounds great but I'm worried if it's something only we will like.

Current situation:

2 full baths in the house. 1 downstairs, 1 upstairs.

Upstairs bath has teeny wall mounted sink, round front toilet, tub/shower combo. Downstairs bath is normal size but only room for 1 sink.

Concept/Plan:

Because of how the plumbing runs to the 2nd floor, we could change this around to be:

1 small powder room (toilet & sink)

plus...

1 room with 2 sinks & tub/shower (no toilet)

Question:

Is this considered freakishly odd? I plan to live here forever but I've planned that twice before & been relocated for work.

I like the idea of having 2 sinks to get ready at, and I like the idea of having the toilet isolated from my toothbrush. We don't have kids, but if you do ... would that be a useful set up?

There isn't room for a real master bath if we want to keep 3 bedrooms on the 2nd floor. But we could fit that powder room in, and convert the old full bath to the "tub/shower + sinks" bath. In total the house would have 2 toilets, 2 tub/shower units, and 4 bathroom sinks.

Is this crazy?

Thanks in advance,

-Pam
