I assumed that bellamama was planning to plant them. You are planning to, right? In general, hardening disorders include: * Yellowing: Exposed to bright sun too quickly * Purple: Exposed to too much cold, too soon * Limp: Hurting from one of several factors (too cold, too leggy, too much rain, too much wind, etc) Brassicas can survive just fine being a lot leggier than that. You can have them be so leggy that they're pretty much growing along the ground, but if you get them light, and they don't die within a few days of doing so, they'll recover and you'll end up with a slightly L-shaped brassica ;) No need to panic; your plants should be fine. Give them no more than a half day of direct sunlight for now and increase it to a full day perhaps Monday-ish. Just keep an eye on them; if they get any yellower than that, cut back on the sunlight. You could try growing them in pots this size, but I'd expect their growth to be stunted. It'd be better if they were in larger pots or the ground.

I know this is an older thread now but this is frustrating. I have two garage doors with Craftsman 1/2HP 41A5021-2F Red button type. Both are now messed up and will only program one opener. I reset and can program any one of the 4 remotes (only one button) to the door but will not learn anymore. Reset again and i can program another but I CANNOT program more than 1 button of 1 remote to a door. Prior to this i had 4 three button remotes and each door had a key pad entry system. I am now up the creek without a paddle! I have even unplugged the units for hours and still the same behavior!!!

I truly enjoyed reading all of your posts, even though I don't qualify for the "hippie" definition (too conservative) and never could see the sense in doing the drug thing, but I sure do agree with all the discussion regarding gardening when you are "not so young" (I can't call myself "aging", I just can't do it!) I can tell you that I have a plan.... really, I do. I figure that by the time I can't plant the flowers and high maintenance things in the beds in front of my fir trees - the trees will have grown so large that I can just mulch the area underneath them! Plus, I have discovered that If I get a hosta bed truly established, and don't mess around in the soil (which would distribute and plant weed seeds), I actually have very little weeding or work necessary in that bed. So, while I lament the lack of sunshine over much of my garden area, I know that it will allow me to keep doing the work I LOVE so much, for a much longer time. I do think that with each passing season I TRY to remind myself to "simplify" - but then I see another plant.... read another post.... see another beautiful, crowded, cottage garden like I love so much and the plan to "simplify" goes right out the window! So, while I have a plan.... sticking to it will be next to impossible!!! BettyLu
