Well it's my turn to return a compliment and I now completely understand this post. I got a chance last night to visit Beverly's garden and Princess Mimi's gardens too. The last time I was out there it was cold, rainy, snowy, sleety - I could tell it was the start of something big, but still a bit early. They have the most beautiful flowers - Beverly has a killer heliopsis bursting with blooms and a Lizzy phlox that is a knock out. All this with herbs, grasses, a beautiful shade garden, water interest, vegetables and fabulous perennials. I think my favorite was the most vigorous blue platycodon clump I have ever seen. About a foot tall and loaded with blooms. Also the burgundy and gold USC garden - it's such a lovely color combo. Both gardens show their owners delight in garden art and it really works well together. I don't have that talent, so I sincerely admire it in others. Mimi has put in the beginnings of a brick edging that looks darn near professional and will be a nice clean edge to her colorful beds. It really was a nice breath of fresh air to see beautifully marked beds full of healthy well cared-for plants. Good job you two and keep going! Karen

annz, I have that too. mustangs, I've not used the new way and only embedded one photo at a time using the old method. Sorry :( camlan, PC Annie, at one time I had considered Google Chrome. Can't remember what it was but I recently read something about it that made me think, "ohhh, I wouldn't like that!" so I dismissed the idea of changing to Chrome. I would guess half, if not more, people here use FF so the browser it's self can't be the problem. I've wondered if it's a satellite thing. For 2 years I couldn't put a photo order thru on WM.co. WM said it was HughesNet and guess who Hughesnet said it was. Right, WM. I recently upgraded to their Gen4 satellite. The first thing I did was check to see if I could put a photo order thru. YES!!!!! Cat ky, it's checked already. Thanks to everyone for trying!

Why are you replacing with triple sliding with double (not single)? I am you have thought through this but.... What if you replaced it with standard single door with large glass area (since you have decided to bite the bullet and replace door and spend the money).... I think this will be fine since you have access to the "deck" from the sliding door in the living room. So you still have double access to the deck. Sliding double door versus single door has the exact same access width. The only difference is the amount of light coming in. I think you have enough light that you can do this. I would not do any uppers between the frig and sink to open up the room a little. You could move the frig to that wall, so you have frig, sink, then range on the L going from left to right. This will give you more landing around the stove. I think you will still have enough room for a table in the eating area. Visually, if you are running the cabinets to the ceiling, you need trim that is as wide if not slightly wider than the stiles of the cabinets. Even if the crown is simple in detail, you still need a little more "weight" to balance the cabinets than what is drawn. If you want more modern clean line look (which would not look good with your 6 panel doors), then you can use slab or very plain doors with minimal trim.

I'm happy for all of you. But fixing whatever was messing you up, seems to have broken my ability to upload photos from my computer (Windows 7). I haven't been able post a photo since August 26! Cleaning out the cache made no difference. I click on the post photo button and go to the folder with the picture. But when I click on the photo....nothing. If I copy and paste it into the post, it shows up on the pre-submit. However, the post won't go through because then it claims I have too many characters. Frustrating!
