lehua13, Thank you for your response. Correct, the valves don't turn on when I try the manual override from the old (now currently installed) controller. I will fix up the solenoid connections and report back on that. As far as checking the voltage/amperage, should I be looking for a specific reading, or simply the presence or lack of a reading? I've never used a volt/amp meter, so I'm looking forward to learning something new. :) If I need to change the solenoids, are there generic solenoids for residential sprinkler systems or will I need to replace the faulty solenoids with the same model? When you say "common line", would that also be considered the master valve control line? On my controller, there are connections for the wires for each zone, and then there is a connection labeled "Master", which I believe is a white cable. Thanks again! Eric

Jazzy, I said what I said. I've never seen a case where a working mouse went south. Shoot, anything's possible. My comment wasn't based on a Google search, that's information everyone has and should be anyone's first stop when there's a problem. That info was there for you, not for me. Stopping Windows updates and cementing use of a obsolete version so that a $10 mouse can function is a very unwise approach. I'll stick to my first recommendation, buy a new mouse and keep your Windows installation current with all updates.

clnewberry1 Trust me, I have gone through all this with a fine tooth comb and I have all your answers! I have an Intelliflow and it is great. I would not have laundry our of the basement without it. Why gamble? Washing machine hose leaks are the #2 home owner claim after refrigerator water lines. Sure you can manually shut off a valve yourself, humans forget, the Intelliflow never will. It takes just one time. Is that chance worth $150? Can you sense a leak on the floor when the washer is on? The Intelliflow can. It is the perfect solution to worrying about leaks. Think of NASA (in the old days) and "redundant backup systems." Regarding the drain, a trap will not work. Unless you want to somehow pour water in there every few weeks it will absolutely dry out and your house will smell when the sewer gas is no longer "trapped" by the water in the trap (this is what it traps!). :-) My brother has a drain in his 2nd floor laundry, but there is no trap. Instead it runs straight to the side of the house and the exit point has a little flip lid that will open if/when water comes down the pipe. This prevents bugs from getting in the house. However, with an Intelliflow or some other shut off valve (automatic) a drain is probably not needed, though of course coupled with an automatic valve would be the ultimate fail safe multi layered system in leak prevention redundancy!

Well, it is not the toggling fn+f5, it has nothing to do with a wireless mouse. I have run my AV, checked to see if there was a conflict with any other program, there is not. Wen I start up regularly my mouse will not work, I can move the mouse around on the screen, but as far as clicking on anything, I can't. My laptop is a Toshiba L655D, I have not downloaded anything new prior to the mouse not working. I did d/l a driver for the touchpad from Toshiba's support site. The keyboard mouse/touchpad only works in SAFE MODE. And, I had a wireless mouse, I had changed the battery, checked for drivers, etc. In an act of frustration I threw the wireless mouse against the wall, that was the end of the wireless mouse.
