Fabulous -and a real inspiration to me. We are also doing a marble/glass shower, a separate bath, and a custom-built vanity with two sinks and a cabinet in-between the sinks. Your photos have inspired me to finalize my decisions, so we can get started on our remodel. Thanks!

Thanks pharaoh, oh high priest of stunning bathrooms! For both upstairs baths, we ordered white Toto tubs, white Toto Soiree toilets, and the smaller Sonia sinks (as I'd mentioned above). All faucets and hardware will be satin or brushed nickel. For the vanity in our tiny MB, I'm leaning towards cherry with a black stain; either black-black, or black with a hint of dark purple or dark blue undertones, and for the hall bath, I'm considering cherry as well, but with a light reddish-sunset color stain (if such a stain color even exists!). Originally I'd wanted the MB to have cool colors for accents; blues, purples, some greens ("sea colors"), but now I'm thinking more white on white tones, maybe some MOP, so we'll see what inspiration hits me when it comes time to choose tile and paint! For the hall bath I want sunset/hot colors; fiery pinks, reds, oranges and yellows, just not sure if I want to bring those colors in at all with the tile, or stick with whites there, too, and then bring in my colors with the paint, shower curtain, towels, and accessories. Of course, if I go with the whites in the MB, I could scuttle my hot colors in the main bath and put my sea colors there...! Totally up in the air re: flooring material, so colors for those haven't even been on the radar yet. Might go with wood, or stone, or ?????

I really love your beautiful bathroom! We're about to embark on a master bath renovation, and are considering a tub/ shower arrangment very similar to yours. We've been a little concerned about having enough room to step into the tub with the shower walls blocking part of the length of the tub, but your layout seems to work just fine! Would you please share the dimensions of your shower when you have a moment, as well as the width of the "step in" space you have for your tub? This might help me do a "reality check" to determine if we want to change the size of the shower, or narrow it a bit to provide wider access for stepping into the tub. If we have to go *too* narrow, the shower may not work. We have one of those behemoth corner tubs in the room now, abutting the shower, that just eats up the room. We're not big bath takers, but still think we need a tub for resale purposes. So a possible solution is to go smaller, with a configuration similar to yours. olychick, thank you for taking a look. :) I'm relieved to hear you think a white shower pan is best. I am heading out now to find porcelain marble look tiles for the shower walls to pick up the gray as you suggested. I want a shiny finish to the walls. Tell me if you think that's a misstep. I am avoiding marble as I have a marble topped vanity now that is pock marked with etchings. As far as seeing myself in the vanity, yes, I think I will be able to do so. I was planning on a black framed mirror spanning the vanity. My current vanity is 32 1/4" high (as will be the new vanity) and when seated on my vanity stool my reflection is seen up to my chest. The only issue currently is that my knees are pressed against drawers. I failed to mention that I was thinking of using absolute black granite for the vanity top for two reasons: one being cost and the other being to avoid etching. Will doing so deviate too much from my inspiration?
