I seriously love the glass and marble shower. It's just what I want for the 2nd floor bathroom. And that gorgeous garden! I'd never leave the tub.

I'll probably have a million questions for you about the details, but later. ;-)

Can't help with the light fixture. If you like things girlie/traditional, maybe a chandelier of some kind.

Gorgeous! It looks so cool it almost gives me shivers :) So peaceful, too. With such a view I agree w/hunzi that I'd want to live in that tub like Marat (well, maybe not exactly like him, but you know what I mean :)).

That, in my taste, has to be one of the best bathrooms I have seen here. I love everything, you can really see that your time was well spent on deciding every detail from the Restoration Hardware towels to the paint color, to the tile design and the whole feeling is wonderfull! Thank you so much for sharing, it is absolutely gorgeous!!

Thanks for all the kind words. I really do love the bathroom now that it is finished and we are actually using it. A year is a very long time for a bathroom remodel and there were moments when we regreted the whole thing. Our first GC did not waterproof the shower at all, the electrical and plumbing were done all wrong and the original floor tiles were uneven with none of the grout lines matching up. The new GC was a perfectionist and used amazing tradesmen-we were pleased with the everyone who worked on it. The GC also suggested we recess the upper cabinet so it would be deep enough to be functional without taking up much counter space.

I really could live in the new tub! It is very deep, comfortable and I actually love the chromotherapy lights that I initially thought were silly.

Bill: Thanks for the comment on the tile work. It killed us to re-buy most of the tile for the shower- The new GC had most of the tile ripped out and re-installed after waterproofing. The new tile installer was incredible and now we really appreciate the difference between lousy tile installation vs the art of expert installation.

On a side note, we knew we needed a new water heater for a while, as we barely had enough hot water for our family of five. When the new shower was complete we realized right away that we did not have enough hot water for the rain-head. We ended up having a Polaris High Efficiency water heater installed and I cannot say enough about how great it is. We now have endless hot water even though it is only 50 gallons. Dh hated to spend the money on it, but now he feels it was worth every penny.

Great to hear about the Polaris. I'll keep that on file for our next water heater. We were in a rush when we replaced ours (it broke) and I didn't do enough research...it's not one of the on-demands, it's a regular tank water heater, yes? Why is it so much more efficient, do you know? Is there something that accounts for it?

And how do you go about finding a GC who's a perfectionist, who doesn't use that word as an insult? *sigh*

claudia: the cabinets were custom built by my GC's partner. He also did all the baseboards and crown in our bedroom and trimmed out the wiindows in our bedroom and bath.

hmg58: the tub is the Aquatic Serenity- I can't remember which one, I want to say 10 or 11.

Absolutely beautiful bathroom! I love the pocket doors and the one you have with the mirror - what a great idea! May I ask what brand door and pocket hardware you used? They're exactly what we're looking for in our new build.

Also - I've never seen lights mounted in the mirror - that must have been extremely tricky -but it looks so great! Beautiful beautiful!!

mellis, thank you. I thought it might be. We're planning on one of the Aquatic Serentiy rectangular tubs, most likely a "tub only" version. Good to hear that you love it!

Fabulous -and a real inspiration to me. We are also doing a marble/glass shower, a separate bath, and a custom-built vanity with two sinks and a cabinet in-between the sinks. Your photos have inspired me to finalize my decisions, so we can get started on our remodel. Thanks!

Beautiful bathroom, I love how they recessed the cabinet on top of the vanity, could you please provide some details. How deep is it recessed and how deep is the whole cabinet.

You have to go with a chandelier....I can't picture anything else...except for a brushed nickel fixure of some kind with white, linen shades....

All those mistakes were worth the end result I'd say. It's absolutely beautiful. It's the dream bath I'd love, but can't afford. LOL

Gorgeous! My favorites are the double vanity and makeup vanity.
