Open Shower w/ Multiple Shower Heads

We are redoing the bathroom shared by our kids (4 boys between 10 & 12!). This is basically an oversized jack-and-jill bath because it connects their bedrooms and no hall access. Here is what we are planning...

I want to put in a large open shower with at least 2 showerheads. This way the boys could use the showers faster and we would have less scrambling and rushing, especially as they get a couple of years older. My wife is great with it since she would be able to pile all four in there at once. There is also a tub, two sinks and a water closet. Any thoughts on this?

I have a picture of how it would look if someone can help me post it.

Here is a picture of how it will look. The wall across from the window will have the two showerheads. I think it will work great, but want to hear any ideas to make it better, concerns, etc...

Is the showerhead 1 that can be moved up,down, sideways? Then you can move it over to wall when "warming up the shower, push it over to where you want it while in the shower. It's a head with swivel & may have only about 1 in. width at bottom- look cheap but do the job. Our L.A.W.D.P. hands them out from time to time & I can also turn it off by pushing button to other side of it like a lamp switch. They sell for around $5. here at hardware store. Might have some fancy ones I don't know. I took a nice 1 off as it couldn't be moved & wasn't in right spot for me. If it has the button switch you can turn it off when it's warm & step in & turn it back on without moving the water around. Hope this helps!

It looks really nice, did you add a steam generator ? i think it would be a nice idea ! i installed one when i renovated my new house last month, when i moved my new shower and bathroom was looking really old and ancient, the siding was made of wood and it was really rusty and broken, i also did some repairing inside like panting, flooring, etc. changing the old doors was also in my plan, and actually the best thing on it now is the shower after i bought a generator for steam shower which makes really good steam. I think it would be really nice in your bathtub.

Nick, you are going to need 1) a new larger main water feed line (the one that goes from the municipal water line into your house). You will be charged a higher "water usage" rate (cost per gallon) after you do this. 2) a new larger water line to the bathroom (the one from the water heater to that bathroom...and the one from that branch to the shower itself). You NEED a plumber...and a healthy budget.

I think it looks fantastic. One concern though - it will be a mess. The vanity surface, floor, walls and window over the vanity will get sprayed with soapy water. At the very least I'd install fixed, frameless glass on the half-height walls with a frameless glass door in between. Also, make sure the window frame is vinyl - it too is going to get very wet.

You're very brave.

The whole bathroom will get very wet. The towels will be soaked. You (or better yet, your sons, will have to squeegee down both the window in the shower area and the window over the vanity each time they shower.
