We have a Hansgrohe Aktiva hand shower/slide bar. Had to take out the water restrictor because it causes the hose to burst apart from the (whatever the technical name is) round wall connector. We went through five hoses before giving up and popping the restrictor out. No problems since. I don't like doing this because: 1) we're serious about saving water in CA; our drought is on its third year and this is the fourth serious drought I've lived through since moving here. So it's EXTREMELY wasteful. We take short showers and are putting in a gray water system. 2) I frankly consider the Waterpik in the other bathroom to be a better showerhead, saves water without the overpressure problem, and costs 1/10th the price. Our last one was still going strong after 17 yrs when we left in our last apartment. It is, however, not as pretty as the Hansgrohe.

Thank you Kevin. That's all the parts I have...housing, lens and trim ring. If you look inside the housing there doesn't seem to be a place to attach the trim which is driving us nuts and makes me think something is missing.

Now that our installation is complete, i thought I'd answer my own question in case anyone else is interested. We used the Geberit Sigma tank designed for 2 x 4 installations. We wanted to go straight down, not the angled option it allows which they indicate does require more depth. But even the straight down option still did not quite work in a 2 x 4 framed wall and we had to shim out the wall a little bit. Not a big deal for us, but just a heads up. In addition, Geberit has a Sigma tank for 2 x 6 walls and an Omega tank for 2 x 6 walls that is designed for half walls and so the frame is not as high. The Omega tank does allow for the flush plate to be mounted either on the front wall or on top of the wall - the Sigma models do not have that option. I am looking at the Omega option for my next bathroom remodel because I want a ledge behind the toilet and don't want the ledge too high. I do note however, that the access area (through the flush plate opening) is smaller than on the other tanks. Not sure if this will be a big deal or not and if anyone has any experience with the Omega model please comment. By the way, we love our wall mounted toilet. Definitely more expensive and difficult to install, but worth it IMO.

I just bought a brother machine from goodwill that had the same problem. Apparently, that was the reason the previous owner abandoned the machine. Thanks to everyone for their help and input. Apparently this is a serious design flaw with Brother machines! After reading through the posts above, I was still not completely clear on the assembly of the thread guide to the needle clamp assembly. It may be because I had no previous experience with the machine, but I was able to figure it out. If it will help anyone, I'll explain how: First position the needle assembly with the black screw (needle clamp screw) to the right. The needle bar thread guide (aka squigly metal thing) has a straight section and a loop section. Insert the straight section into the bottom of the needle clamp in the small slot directly under the hex screw (the screw that is imbedded just above the black clamp screw), and push the thread guide wire up as far as it will go. The loop section will now be at the bottom of the needle clamp and creates a loop over the slot that the needle is inserted to. Now insert your needle and slide the the needle clamp assembly onto the presser bar. If it does not slide up (as mine didn't) loosen the hex screw with a hex drive (I used size 3/32). Once you are able to slide it up into position, tighten the hex screw and the black needle clamp screw. This worked for me and the machine is running great! Best of luck.
