Second oven choice? -- single wall oven or speed convec/micro?

We're close to finalizing our kitchen remodel plan and layout (had no idea it would take five months+ to get to this point!) This forum has been invaluable in the decision-making process. However, we still can't decide about a second oven.

We've already purchased a 36" range, which should be more than enough cooking power. With kids heading off to college soon, a lot of cooking will be just for the two of us....but we got a great price on a Monogram DF at a warehouse sale, so talked ourselves into it :) We also have a huge family and host frequent gatherings, and not just for holidays. So, even though we have the range, we want a second oven as a back-up.

Here's the question -- should we go with a single wall oven, which would be great for entertaining crowds, and have a separate micro (small, shelf-type)? Or do we go with a speed cook/convection/microwave (Advantium-type), which would work well when it's just the two of us? Doing both doesn't fit the budget. Has anyone else faced this decision and, if so, which way did you go and are you happy with your decision?
