If you're talking about your 'Temporary Internet Files' and browser cookies ?

In IE7, you could probably press your Alt+T key, click on Internet Options .. then click the Delet button on Browsing History .. which will open a list of things you can delete.

I'm a bit of a fanatic about cleaning cookies and temporary files. What I did was create a folder on the desktop and named it "Security". I then did a search for any folder/file named Cookie. Went to each of those folders and created a shortcut to the desktop and then dragged the shortcut into the Security folder. I then did the same thing with temporary files. I now have five shortcuts for temporary files and cookies in the Security folder. This gives me quick access to delete the cookies and temporary files. I also do what mikie suggested.

Just as an aside, I've placed shortcuts in that Security folder for AdAware, AVG, SpyBot and other things I frequently use one of which is a nice little program that helps keeep my computer clean named Advanced WindowsCare, a piece of freeware from Jobit.com.

Or, you could download the free browser, Firefox, which is superior to Internet Explorer. Every time you close Firefox, it gives you the opportunity to "Delete private data," including your cookies, with one click.

Absolutely nothing wrong with Bob's method of clearing clutter. His method does not create or move any files. All it does is create pointers to the target files.

For me, and I always recommend it, is CCleaner. It is deep, thorough, and user friendly. Just remember to use it only with the default settings. If a user does not know what he/she is doing and changes can cause grief.

I use both FF and IE and I feel the perpetual argument over supremacy is that similar to Miller Lite and Bud Light.

IE just won some feb security contest. It blocked all but ten exploits... FF blocked all but 25... think plain Mozilla was in last place.
