GW has been sold multiple times over the years.......I wouldn't just assume it was going to disappear because of a now 6 y.o. change of ownership!! There have obviously been a few issues in trying to maintain two separate platforms so it doesn't surprise me that they are trying to merge them into a single unit. That this is not a smooth transition and that they give no warning or heads-up when things are about to change should also come as no surprise, if you spend any time here at all :-) Other than it being in a different format and awkward to navigate, it's really no different than how it has been. What I find I unsettling is how many are so reluctant and resistant to roll with the punches! If you value the GardenWeb forums, then don't abandon them just because you have to approach them differently. I know that many of us are just a 'bunch of old ladies'......but we don't have to act like it!! Be flexible :-)

Rusty, have you cleared your cache recently? If you haven't, when you try to access the link I provided, you may indeed get an error message. Try clearing your cache and give it a try. When you visit a website, it stores information, such as the location you visited, or old forms. Here's a website that shows different browsers. I posted this on another thread. On my Ipad, if I am in KT or HDC, when I post, the thread I am in comes up as an option. If I am not in it, it cannot be found. On my Iphone, it cannot be found at all. The desk top, which was best, is a Windows 10 and they, Microsoft, decided to not support a perfectly good computer. I cannot afford to replace things every 8 to 10 years. I do not stream and I do not play games of any kind! I do not use an app on anything, it does not work. I just use a link to Garden Web. Houzz is useless.

I have no trouble getting into these forums. They're all on my desk top. The problem is trying to start a new post when in a forum. For example, I was in Cooking and tried to start a new post. You are asked to select the forums you want to post in. Cooking wasn't on the list.
