I'm having the same problem today - big disappointment.

I'm having trouble with both GW and Houzz. It's hit or miss - sometimes I get in - like now - others times I get the error message.

Mine did not work this morning either. I switched all my browsers to the Houzz address:

Running smoothly.

One device uses GW, and it works today. The other device uses Houzz, and it also works today. But, they are different operating systems. One is Android, one is Apple.

At home, my Mac works on GW, but at work my Dell has to go in via houzz.

Yes I can't get here through my bookmarks but I can through My Topics list.

I can't get in by typing gardenweb in the search bar, and I saw someone else has the same problem in another post. They messed something up again.

It's not only the bookmarks, but the panel at the right that lists your topics, the links don't work, and the same thing on the notifiications...those links are broken too.

I just don't understand why they can't take the best of GW and put those capabilities into houzz and then just have one system to work with. You'd think it'd be easier for them that way too.

I kept getting error message with GW link. I tried houzz dot com, but it didn't work either. None of the links on the left to any of the forums I follow worked.

Did a Google search and found the post "about the error code" by sleevendog and his link worked. Wonder what is going on? Is this the end of the forums?

When I use Chrome, I get error messages for ALL posts. But it's working with Edge. My bookmarks have not worked right in over a month.

It worked for me with Edge until I tried to sign in, and then I got the Oops error message again.

I have given up on going back and forth with GW and Houzz. I picked Houzz as GW will eventually be phased out. All the links on the left are working for me. Maybe it depends on which OS you are using. This is on my desktop with Windows 10, fully updated.

I'm on my PC now and everything is fine. Can't get anything on my Chrome Book!!!

I'm having the same problems, it started last night, I can log in through either Houzz or Gardenweb, but clicking on a thread title just brings me to the error message. If I log out, I can read the threads, but can't respond to them. I got here this time through Sleevendog's error thread. And it looks like it's back through my 'old' original ID, but the address bar says houzz dot com. And it's behaving like Houzz, pictures too small, can't save any of them, and other annoying things. The 'Rusty Again' account I've been using was through Gardenweb, which I like better, but Houzz denied me access to my original Gardenweb account. What a mixed up mess!

I'm on my new computer, Windows 10, whatever the current edition of that is, so I'm glad to know it's not the computer, which I had thought it might be.

I get the same error message. Had to use the dreaded HZ to get here. I hope they fix this soon and give us back our Gardenweb.

My first time ever problem began last night too. I'm using a newer PC - purchased within the last few weeks, Win 10, Firefox browser. I could get to my list of favs, see the threads, but couldn't open any of them. I'm here through Houzz like the others this morning, none of my bookmarks working for the first time.

Terrible. I can only get into GW from the phone. No access from my laptop. Where I can type more intelligently.

I don't understand the constant problem with getting to the KT.

Sephia, yes I do the same thing. GW is history.

Oh, for heaven's sake!! There is NO need to panic! It is just another in a long line of glitches encountered as Houzz tries to merge the two platforms. We had another, very similar situation happen a few weeks ago that took a day or so to sort out but then everything back to normal. As this will likely be too.

It's a bit too premature to make ANY assumptions abut GW being "history"!! But then some always like to look at the glass as half empty :-) Doom and gloom seems to be the watchwords these days when we should be looking at things with a much more positive viewpoint.

LOL!! I don't have any frustrations with it....that's the whole point. And whinging and bitching/complaining about it constantly is not going to make it any better.

I know most of us are really just a "bunch of old ladies" but we don't have to act like it and be so inflexible! 😊

I really miss the point of these complaints. Those expressing such extreme grief and concern have found a way to sign on and comment. Is there something more you need or something lacking?

The Houzz url works smoothly, though Android, Chrome, Windows or Linux do have slightly different versions of it. Often ad blocking software, or privacy settings or apps can interfere. Try changing some of those settings for the Houzz site and see if things improve.

Sounds good, but it doesn't work that way on my computer, clicking a bookmark on either Houzz or Gardenweb just brings up the error message if I try to read a post. It is a several step process to get to a point where I can both read and post. It's ridiculous. True, it will probably straighten out in time, but the first few times one encounters this, it is a very aggravating hassle!

Been having to use Houzz for ages now, I'm used to it now and have forgotten what the differences are...HA!

I miss the pictures being large when posted. Garden Web was a lot better than Houzz, in my opinion. If they are doing away with GW, it may not be worth the aggravation for a small return. Testing with this picture. It comes in large and then ends up tiny after submitted.

If you touch it, it will expand to a larger size for viewing.

Rusty, have you cleared your cache recently? If you haven't, when you try to access the link I provided, you may indeed get an error message. Try clearing your cache and give it a try.

When you visit a website, it stores information, such as the location you visited, or old forms.

Sephia, yes, I understand about clearing the cache, cookies, how to clear a cache, etc. etc. And yes, I have cleared it since this mess started, more than once. It is making not one iota of difference.

Its been awhile since I had visited Kitchen Table and my bookmarks did not work, well, they did, but did not take me to the familiar, but landed on the commercial Houzz page. I found that this wed site had been totally redesigned. I had to log-in (not a surprise) and then I was able to find "Kitchen Table" - Whew. Before I leave this site, I save a new bookmark.

Yay! It seems to be working right this morning. (Hope that comment doesn't jinx it.) And it is automatically taking me in through Gardenweb, using my original account. Not real sure just how that happened, as I had to start a new account awhile back (Rusty Again), because I couldn't access this one.

Wonders never cease.

It's working again for me as well. I did consider it to be a temporary glitch, as these happen from time to time. Anyway, I am grateful that they got it fixed, but I am puzzled as to why this happens anyway.

I'm back to normal again this morning. There was an issue about a month ago where a similar glitch happened. I;m just glad that my bookmarks are again working.

Kitchen Table is through GW for me.
