I too am interested in this area. I experimented with buying three wireless speakers getting their signal from the computer so I can listen to ITunes or streaming. They were on clearance at Amazon for like $18 each so didn't have much to lose financially but alot knowledge-wise. I think they operate at 600 mhz frequency, but the signal garbles when someone walks by a speaker so overall I like the concept but vote NO on this application. I'm now leaning toward hard-wiring to the deck coming off the stereo reciever, along with a wireless connection from the computer to the stereo receiver. There are now some independent remote speakers available for other rooms which might be good as long as the tech is improved over what I tried.

Uhh, I don't know if I would spray a deodorizer containing moisture into the computer. The odor will eventually go away. If anything, an indoor air cleaner might suck the odor out of the computer. I still think a day or two of fresh air and sunshine would help. Neal, I've seen computers with brown IDE cables that were once light grey. LOL I wear rubber gloves when I work on those "stinky" PCs.

I think what she means is should she change all of her user names and passwords for FaceBook etc. so no one can get into her information from her other computer. If so, this is why I NEVER mark any box that says "Keep Me Logged In" or "Remember Me on this Computer"!! I only use web based mail and always double check to make sure all boxes are unmarked when I login at any website!!! I would definately change all my passwords before having that computer worked on and make sure you write down the new passwords and put them somewhere safe, but NEVER on the computer.

I can't see any reference to USB ports in any Gateway detailed/technical description. What II did see is that it only supports wireless connectivity - both keyboard and mouse included are wireless (stock up on batteries if you buy this product). And you probably will have to get wireless exyernal devices, like printer. Also, Gateway doesn't have the best reputation - never has. Why aren't you looking at a laptop?. Desktop PC's are a dying product for personal use. You can get all you are looking for in a good laptop - like a Toshiba...for less money. And spend the extra money for a wireless 3 in 1 Printer/scanner/fax device. BTW - They do make USB "extension" cords that allow you to plug in 2 or more USB devices.
