SuperAntiSware New Version out..

Here's the link to the new version of Super Anti Spyware. The interface is the same but the main improvement to the free version is automatic updates. This was previously available on the paid version only. It also looks like the full scan takes a lot less time. I've already downloaded it and used it. It will automatically uninstall the old version. Looks like java runtime has been updated also to update5.. That is available there as well toward the bottom..

OK a note on that java be sure to uncheck google toolbar when installing the new java update unless you want it, and uninstall any old versions of java after installing java update 5....

Witz right you are, indeed Bill P did decline and we all think very highly of him in the security community for doing so. Way to go Bill!! He is such a great guy anyway and that just proves it even more and WinPatrol is sure worth it. I know all of them want to create programs to help us all stay safe and make it easier for the support community to keep the pc's clean, the more clean ones we have the less we all suffer. It is a pay it forward thing for many of them, they just want to help. some unfortunately do end up giving in to the lure of the almighty dollar, I do not think that would be happening nearly as much if we all did contribute more to them in donations. It cost a lot of money to keep those sites up and running and time and effort to create the programs. I applaud them all and do get on the soap box occasionally to try to make people understand how valuable these people are and how supporting their free products is a worthwhile effort.

when you get the updated version for zone alarm you no longer have to keep it at medium you go back to high, moving the slider to medium was/ is only for those that have not updated their zone alarm to the latest updated fixed version. I use an old version of zone alarm pro the old versions were not affected. You will see on the page I linked to from zone alarm in the center it says recommended actions: Recommended Actions - Download and install the latest versions which solve the loss of internet access problem here (English only): then there are the links to the new versions of zone alarm you select the one that you have be it za free basic firewall or za suite. The other options listed below that are only for if you did not do this step. This is the version number you want to have it is the latest updated one. 7.0.483.000 ONLY get these from the zone alarm site to make sure you are getting the fixed version or by going into your zone alarm program and hitting the update button it will get the update for you.

I LOVE my Smartphone. My son got me one for Christmas. He pays my bill. Sadly I busted it. I am due for an upgrade in December so right now I have an older one. Still does all the good stuff. I'll get the bigger screen one then. I love being able to take pictures, have my grocery list in my notes, have my Hobby Lobby coupon right with me and a lot of other things that they do. My son just bought a new one about a month ago. While the guy was telling him about it he threw it across the room. The new cases they come in now are so much better. Unless you run over it with your car like I did. They can be pricey.. Love my smartphone. Would hate to be without it..

Have you considered also having the wall mounted fireplace controls with the remotes? Many manufacturers offer both option. How large a space are you heating? This would define if the 40k BTUs is too much for your space. Also, don't know what the range is for this Napoleon. How far does it go down? That would be the number that I would look at to determine if the Fireplace would work in a warmer climate. Good luck!

I've had 4.0.1152 for at least a couple of days, didn't nnotice the automatic update...but I do recall seeing auto update going on. In fact I think I got a notice of the update, and it included a "click on" to get it. If its faster scanning for spyware, I didn't notice.

Thanks Zep, nice to get auto updating for free with the new version. I never saw an option to have or not have the Google toolbar, perhaps that was because it was already on my confuser. I will check to see they have not activated the notifier and updater for Google though.

The google tool bar comes with the (Java update) and nothing to do with the SuperAntiSpyware up-date..

I only pointed that out because the java up-date to 5 was also available on the same page that SuperAntiSpyware was...

So I guess any time we up-Date java google tool bar will be installed I had never noticed that before & think it is sort of new..

Google apparently knows more about you than your own mother does. Many people avoid them because of that perceived loss of privacy - and they certainly try to be intrusive.
You know that's gotta cost them a pretty penny to have so many softwares include their toys so they can try to get maximum advertising bucks.

Ha ha, I do believe you are right Mikie that is why I have nothing to do with Gmail. Nor do I allow the tool bar to run any processes in the back ground as they like to do.

Sorry if this sounds like a dumb question but Should I uninstall my old version first?

It shouldnt hurt to unistall it.

If you havent made any special user configurations, for sure I would uninstall it first & start clean, but into the same folder or path it was originally installed - The version I tried out a while back leaves leftover hooks, so might as well reuse the same old hooks.
