Shaddy: You should be able to download the installation program here: https://www.malwarebytes.org To uninstall the program because it was causing trouble, I went from Start>Control Panel >Programs and Features, and then found Malwarebytes in the list of programs and clicked on its name to select it, at which point a row of possible things to do appeared up above the list. One of them was Uninstall, so I clicked on that to uninstall the program. I am running Windows 7 and your PC's operating system may do things a bit differently so far as the names of things are concerned, but the general idea is to use the Control Panel to uninstall programs. In my case, it was a bit more complicated than that, because Windows said it couldn't uninstall Malwarebytes as something was missing. To fix that, I downloaded a new copy of its installation software and installed that, then I was able to uninstall the whole thing. I have been too busy to reinstall and try using it again, but expect to get around to doing that today. And I sure hope those nagging pop-ups will have disappeared. If not, I guess my only option will be to keep uninstalling the program and reinstalling it from time to time as needed. Hope it doesn't come to that, because it's really a good program.

When you install Malwarebytes it has 2 checkboxes... one of which says something about start the free trial... so you need to uncheck that at install to get the free version. I would hope the free trial version automatically changes to the free version when its two weeks is up.

If you're using one and getting viruses, what you're using isn't working. You can't use more than one at a time and each shown in the ratings when used by itself should help you avoid problems. The ratings are from a respected and very trusted source, PC Mag. The top rated choices are shown as EC, Editors' Choice. These are the not-free ones, moderately priced and considered a notch above the free ones. Security programs There are also free ones, ratings from the same source Free Security programs The last factor to be mindful of for your internet safety is your own conduct. Don't go to sites you don't know, don't click on links you don't know, don't download unnecessary material. The better security programs will advise you whether a link or a download is safe before you proceed with it. Many internet service providers (ISPs) offer well regarded security programs to customers for no charge. Check with yours, maybe you have one available to download and use.

I have the paid version on my desktop computer. I need it on a laptop I take with me. Same thing with my husband, desktop/laptop. That would cost $160.00 per year. Husband had the free version for years when suddenly, during an update it became the trial version. I checked to make sure he didn't click something wrong, but there was no option. So he's been dealing with the free trial. Same thing happened with my laptop. I don't understand why they don't allow you to use the license on at least one other computer.
