No do not pay, you can opt out and continue free version, somehow you clicked on or left check mark in Free trial version instead of Free basic version, if all else fails, uninstall and redownload make sure you get the correct one then you will not get that message.
When you install Malwarebytes it has 2 checkboxes... one of which says something about start the free trial... so you need to uncheck that at install to get the free version.
I would hope the free trial version automatically changes to the free version when its two weeks is up.
