Kitkat - the America's Test Kitchen show uses DCS electric wall ovens. If you go to the AJMadison website, you can search for wall ovens, and sort by fuel (gas). They show 5 30" gas wall ovens, and 1 36" gas wall oven. The 36" gas wall oven is by Bluestar. They show the Viking gas wall ovens you mentioned, and they state the Vikings are 4.0 cu. ft. By comparison the Viking electric ovens are 4.7 cu. ft., and the majority of the 30" electric ovens they list are in the range of 4.2-4.7 cu. ft. The largest 30" gas wall oven they list is the American at 4.7 cu. ft. It has french doors. I am wondering why you are set on a gas wall oven - do you have the gas line already for the wall oven? Patty0315 -as you suspected, things have changed. Modern gas ovens, with today's electronics for temperature control, and much greater insulation than the gas ovens of generations ago, have no problem regulating temperature. Though with any oven, gas or electric, there will be parts of the oven that are colder or warmer. dan1888, You are the second one to recommend this. Do you currently use induction and had you switched from gas? Any particular manufacturers that you like for the induction cooktop and the combi oven and hood? There are so many out there.... Also which wall oven to pair the combi oven with? Thanks so much

If the failure is due to the tenants actions they pay. Landlords are not some infinite resource to repair things a tenant breaks. If the failure is unrelated to the tenant cleaning the tray the repair IS on the landlord. I have eaten plenty of repairs that i could have charged for over the years since determining the actual cause was not all that easy. I have also charged for plenty of damage that could be clearly attributed solely to tenant actions. Like the ones that plugged a sump pump ad wrecked the basement carpet. Or let their dog destroy every screen in a screened in porch. I did split the deductible after an oven fire. I figured that the fire was accident enough to eat some of the cost.

I have a Viking Dble wall oven and have the same experience - it happens on all cycles, but the convection fans are really loud. I read about this here, before making the decision but also remember reading that it wasn't that bad, and that most ovens do the same thing - to keep the electronics from overheating. At first it didn't bother me, but after cooking for 2 days for T-day - OMG, it is really annoying. I think it only bothers me when I'm tired though. As soon as I turn the oven on and hear it, I have this feeling of dread - the same noise, again. A trick for after you've finished cooking - leave the door open for a bit. That seems to shorten the cooling cycle after you've finished cooking. One thing I noticed, when i've opened the door while cooking, the fan seems to inhale the smoke and heat, like an exhaust fan or OTR fan. I guess that's a good thing, but I don't have electronics on mine - jobs the old-fashioned knobs. Not sure why they need cooling off. I'm trying to get over it, but it is still a pain. I have to say though, the thing cooks like a champ! I used the Convection Roast feature - a BEAUTIFUL, evenly browned turkey, with no basting, in 1.5 hours!!! It was 15lbs and tasted amazingly good - not dry either. Yesterday I looked at the ovens while walking into the kitchen, pointed to them, smiled and said, "YOU ROCK!!!!" I love my ovens, and the Induction Cooktop. My only complaint is that the oven doesn't shut off when the timer goes off. Trade-offs, I guess. I'm glad to have the C-Bake - making CC cookies and maybe bread later today. gneegirl
