I have the dual oven. I'm not sure if it is the exact model number - mine has the bridge unit. I have had it for a couple of years now. The good first - the upper small oven is a work horse. I cannot tell you how much we love and use this little oven. It heats up quickly and is wonderful at baking the small items. I have even baked homemade bread in it (not my choice - asked the husband to preheat and because this is the only oven he uses that is what he preheats - everytime.) It is also fine at broiling. We love making super sandwiches on fresh french bread and putting them under the broiler to melt the cheese and crisp the edges or put in a casserole to crisp the top - it works great for this. We have not had to have any service done on this oven. On to the neutral - the convection oven is OK - not terrible but not great. We use the smaller oven over it when ever we can. We have not had to have any service done on this oven. The bad - none The really bad - the cooktop. I have had every burner/circuit replaced. It is very inconsistent. It takes FOREVER to heat up and then when it finally heats up it overheats - keeping a consistnt temp is almost impossible. We have come up with our own creative workarounds to try to manage an even temp. The so bad I can't even put a level to it - GE customer service. As I mentioned we have had to replace the burners/circuits on the range top. Every time they have come out it takes a least two trips. Parts have been ordered wrong a couple of times. The range not put back togther correctly (screws were left on the counter top - how they missed that I don't know). The most memorable event - Christmas with the in-laws coming. Three trips - wrong part brought the first time, wrong part delivered the second time. Finally they were coming Christmas eve to fix it (really) when they called and said the part wasn't going to be there. I was left without a range on Christmas day - with the in-laws at my house. Thankfully my in-laws are wonderful so we survived. Having said all that - we are doing a remodel and if the Miele speed oven turns out to be too small I would consider the GE Profile single double oven just to keep the little oven. That is how much we love the little oven - and the ovens have not had any problems. I would of course get the extended warranty!!

TonySak- I'm going to chime back in here since I started the thread, and although I can't believe it, it has been almost a year since I've had the dishwasher! This dishwasher rarely cleaned right for me, and oftentimes, cleaned even worse on the top rack. There were many times when I have had to hand wash much of what was on top. It has appeared to get worse over time. First, as dixiedarlin1 said, the dishwasher is much drier now, and has been for a long time. I still use the heated dry cycle. The soppy days are gone. Second, I have had GE service personnel over twice, once primarily for the soppiness, and also for the sporadic cleaning. I use ONLY Cascade with Dawn action pacs now, and they work almost flawlessly WHEN the dishwasher decides to clean. The second very recent GE call was for the worsening washing action on the top rack. NOTHING was coming clean, and small particles were dried all over all my glasses and plates (despite the Cascade). ANSWER: (believe it or not)... When GE shipped these dishwashers (model PDWT580RSS), they apparently omitted an O-ring ("gasket") from the back of the top rack tube that makes a seal against the back wall tube where the water comes in and goes through the top of the DW. There was a recess where the O-ring should be, but no O-ring. That O-ring apparently provides the seal and ensuing pressure needed to really blast that water up around the top rack. Boy was I skeptical!!! I thought they were crazy when they told me that was most likely the problem. Well lo and behold, the parts came to the house and I took it upon myself to open up the O-ring and put it on myself. Well, I feel like I have a new dishwasher. I don't think it was just a coincidence. I have washed 5 loads successfully since installing that skinny little ring. The silverware doesn't usually come out perfect...always at least 2 or 3 pieces that need to be rewashed...but the difference is the top rack washing is remarkable. This doesn't change the fact that I still feel that the silverware basket was a terrible design, and the tines on the racks are terribly spaced, making many items (especially cereal and soup bowls) continually fall over. It has been maddening, to say the least. The GE company, however, has been WONDERFUL. Due to what I've gone through with my DW, they have extended my warranty by one full year for free. All things considered, I would never buy another GE dishwasher, although I realize that there are complaints with every manufacturer's dishwashers. I've just gone through too much with this one. My sister is still thrilled with her Bosch; never had a moment's problem with it- except when the water wouldn't drain and it turned out it wasn't her DW...it was the pipes. Who knows? Maybe she just got lucky with the Bosch.

We have the KA CD 25 sq ft. side by side ref. It has performed very well except that the icemaker periodically will stop working. The fill tube that comes from the top of the freezer will freeze up, stopping the flow of water. I give it a squeeze with the pliers (it is a rubber tube) and it starts working again. Have had 2 service calls for this problem in 2 years. Too many for a $2100.00 ref. Other that that it is fine. Maintains temp fine, shelf space is great, etc. We have GE monogram rangetop and oven. It looks like the burners on the GE Cafe line are similar to the monogram burners, but the output on the Cafe line is less. I don't know about profile. A couple of the profile ovens seem to have the same specs as Monogram, but cost less. Or at least that was the case 2 years ago when I built the house. My opinion is that either brand will be fine. Buy the specs and the style you like and enjoy.

Also I looked through a couple of GE Café range manuals where they discussed the Control Lockout on 'some models,' but I suppose those manuals were written pre Summer 2013 because they showed it locking out burners as well. You may have to verify with GE Support about the specific model you are looking at. "Range - Explanation of the Lockout Feature The range Lockout feature allows the user to lock out all oven and surface burner operation. When locked, there can be no unintended oven or surface burner activation. Note: As of summer 2013, the control lockout button locks out the oven controls only, not the gas burners. To activate: 1.press Range Lockout pad 2.press Start To deactivate feature: repeat the steps listed above. If the power fails to the home while the range lockout feature is activated, the range lockout feature will remain activated once the power has been restored. The range lockout feature can also be activated while the surface burners are in use. Once range lockout has been activated the gas will stop flowing to the surface burners. The control panel will flash to remind you to turn the surface burner off. Caution: If the surface burner is left in the on position gas will flow once the range lockout feature has been deactivated. Note: Cooktops with control lock feature, when the lock is engaged and a burner is turned on, the cooktop will buzz and no gas will come out. View a short video about about the lockout feature.""
