Analysis and Malware Removal It is likely if he took it in to someplace to have this cleaned they would instead wipe his drive and reformat the pc and he would lose everything not backed up. So he should at the very least back up what ever he treasures that is on that pc.

If you would have jumped in earlier and told her to boot to Safe Mode and run MBAM this is what would have happened. All programs would have been gone and the malware would have won! Some malware does not even run in Safe Mode. Most of the threats now days installs a rootkit. Tell me..how do you remove a rootkit? If your are as good as you think you are then you would know the answer! If you were a professional then you would know that ASC is bad because it includes a Registry cleaner. System Fix is a fake computer analysis and optimization program from the FakeHDD family of rogues. This rogue displays false alerts that are designed to make you think that your computer has hard disk problems that have lead to corrupt and missing data. It displays these alerts in order to scare you into purchasing the program so that you can fix these issues. In reality, though, there is nothing wrong with your hardware or data, so these error messages should be ignored. System Fix is installed through hacked sites that exploit vulnerabilities in software that may be installed on your computer or through fake online scanner pages. Once installed, System Fix will display false error messages and security warnings on the infected computer. These messages will state that there is something wrong with your computer's hard drive and then suggests that you download and install a program that can fix the problem. When you click on of these alerts, System Fix will automatically be started. System Fix will be configured to start automatically when you login to Windows. I have to share with all of you. My DD (12 yrs. old) had nasty sinus infections every year, so bad she needed sinus surgery but we've held off. She did have her tonsils and for the 2nd time, her addenoids removed last summer. It has made all the difference in the world. She's been very healthy this year. Now, for the last 3 months, her school (a christian school of about 450 students) has been in horrible shape. Everything from pneumonia, strep, bronchitis, the flu, stomach flu and even mono, has been present at the school. So many kids have been hospitalized on a weekly basis, so many missing days and days of school-all the way from the kindergartners to the highschoolers and staff! We have been lucky. Neither she nor I have become ill. I work at her school so I include myself, and the lady I work closely with has been sick 3 times already. All my DD's close friends have been very ill but not my DD. I attribute our good health this year to one thing- we have bombarded our system on a daily basis with Emergen-C.
