My niece had that awful stomach virus, she vomited so much she got dehydrated, had to be hospitalized nearly a week. She is now home and has resumed eating. As for me, I've had three bad colds this year. Two of them tuned into bronchitis and I needed antibiotics. I'm feeling much better today but still have a slight cough.

I just got over something nasty going around here. It lasted for several weeks and kept morphing into different sicknesses. First was the sore throat, high fever, and upper resp. problems. When the fever finally broke, I started having stomach/diahrrea issues, and after a few days of that I got bronchitis and a sinus infection. I NEVER go to the doctor for cold/flu stuff, but it was going on for so long, I finally went in and got an antibiotic. This week I'm feeling so much better.

I've been sick for 2 months with a upper respitory/laryngitis/sinus infection/pink eye type of virus. Luckily I never had the stomach problems, but it felt like I had everything else!

I know lots of people around here with it!

It made its way through our house a few weeks ago. There have been several different viruses this year. There were two teenagers in this area that died when they contracted pneumonia after having the flu. It's been scary.

Mine started 3 days before I was scheduled to fly home from Florida...I spent 4 hours racing back and forth to the bathroom...I don't remember ever being so sick.Spent 2 days in bed in a coma like sleep and flew home on the 3rd day...That's been 2 weeks and I still can't eat and have absolutely no energy....I didn't get a flu shot but doc said, it probably wouldn't have helped....
I wanted to loose weight but YUCK, what a way!

I have to share with all of you. My DD (12 yrs. old) had nasty sinus infections every year, so bad she needed sinus surgery but we've held off. She did have her tonsils and for the 2nd time, her addenoids removed last summer. It has made all the difference in the world. She's been very healthy this year. Now, for the last 3 months, her school (a christian school of about 450 students) has been in horrible shape. Everything from pneumonia, strep, bronchitis, the flu, stomach flu and even mono, has been present at the school. So many kids have been hospitalized on a weekly basis, so many missing days and days of school-all the way from the kindergartners to the highschoolers and staff! We have been lucky. Neither she nor I have become ill. I work at her school so I include myself, and the lady I work closely with has been sick 3 times already. All my DD's close friends have been very ill but not my DD. I attribute our good health this year to one thing- we have bombarded our system on a daily basis with Emergen-C. Every morning she takes it in her OJ or apple juice. I open 2 packs and pour it in and down the hatch. I do the same. My friend works in a daycare and she does this too. Not a sniffle from her either... plenty of kids sick there, too. Can't say enough about it. I also think her surgery helped, by the way. No tonsils to harbor the bacteria. Oh, I also pray that He keeps us healthy!

Orie, maybe that is why I seldom get sick. I drink a lot of orange juice. Three or more glasses a day. Probably more than I should drink, but I haven't had a cold in years. Never had the flu. Never had a sinus infection. And no allergies.

My friend, who is also a wildlife rehabber, says we never get sick because germs don't have a chance with us...we are always exposed to a lot of dirty conditions, cleaning up after and handling animals.

Respiratory flu here. Two weeks and I'm just starting to feel human again. I work at an elementary school and our nurse says it's one of the worst flu seasons she remembers, because the one I got wasn't included in the vaccine we got last fall.

I missed the stomach flu, but hubby got it, poor guy.

Yup. I got the flu two weeks ago and am still dealing with bronchitis and weakness, etc. I ventured out to Walmart today. Feels like I ran a marathon. (As if I knew what that feels like!)
