Some of the gardenweb members purposely mess up spamed pages by adding stuff like that cat. Then you cant read their spam ! Mikie is right. A member has just made the spam post unreadable. Several of us 'regulars' at the Test Forum do that there, due to there being a lot of Spam posts, some of them being vulgar. We just post to it making a body background, and it renders the post pretty unreadable for the most part, but it starts its drop down the one and only page there. I can see where it could cause trouble and be confusing if one did not know what was going on. Perhaps a background of would be a lot less confusing. If you want to see what the post says, just right click, and then 'select all', or that is what it is in Firefox anyway. A few days ago I did that to a thread at the Household Finance Forum, I think it was), and then I reported the URL via the Contact Us to GW so they could get it all gone. Yep I've been having the same problem. I noticed it today, maybe it was happening earlier and I just didn't realize it. I hope this is not a permanent change.

"No negative replies" or no "personal attacks"? No negative replies would imply no constructive criticism of a house, ad, etc. The written word is often misconstrued. Facial expressions, voice inflections and tones help people understand the true meaning behind a sentence when spoken. That luxury is not available to us online. Too bad signatures are not allowed you could have used, "Remember there is a person behind that username". :-)
