Question about SuperAntiSpyware Free Edition update

I have recently added SuperAntiSpyware Free Edition to a new laptop. For the past few days when Windows boots up, I receive a pop up that there is an SAS update, but when I choose to download it, I get the following message: The update must be done through an account with Administrative Privileges.

Can you tell me what I need to do to install the update?

ASUS K501j with Win 7 and Firefox.

Try installing updates from link. Not sure what's going on there...

It sounds like the account you are logging in as does not have local administrator rights.

", I'm having a problem with the iPad, email is locked." some antivirus software makes you answer everytime you open a program this usually get less frustrating over time, since you will give it permission for each program you use. after a few days, you usually use most of them, and it stops asking. I am tinking this may be why your email is "locked" you either answered NO for it, or, for some other reason it isnt giving your email permissions to open. You may have to go into the antivirus menu/settings people always forget to do that.

Question about free standing vanities

Do free standing vanities need to be attached to the wall other than the plumbing connections? My new vanity has a 3" backsplash making it 39" high. I am having PVC beadboard behind it which is 42" high with the top and bottom trim included. The top trim piece is probably the only part that would show above the backsplash. I was thinking of leaving about a 1/2" gap between the back of the backsplash and the wall, but my contractor thinks it should be flush and the backsplash caulked to the wall. He suggested we lower the beadboard a few inches and have it butt up to the ends of the backsplash. Any opinions would be appreciated!

Linda J, That just means that there is an issue with the webpage you are accessing. Unless you are a web developer, anytime you see the words "My SQL" in an error, it means that the webpage has a problem. Nothing wrong with your computer where this message is concerned. Pam

zep, I can get my definitions update...I am thinking that this pop up is notifying me about a software update? I'm sorry, I wasn't clear on that.

exgm, I followed your link and I am set up as a home group. I am the only administrator as far as I know. When I first set up the computer, the setup process asked me to type in my name...I thought that was naming myself as the administrator?

...I was doing some looking around to see if I could provide any more information. I opened up Properties for SAS and there is a tab there titled COMPATIBILITY. I opened it and there is a checkbox there that says Run this program as an administrator. Will it solve my problem if I check it?

Yes clicking 'Run this program as an administrator' should be your answer.

In the event it does not then perhaps try to re-install the program.

Perhaps this is a little of the reoccurring confusion of terminology; update versus upgrade.

SAS recently released a new version so that would be an upgrade. Downloading the definitions would be an update. This being the case I agree its not upgrading due to the user not having rights. Generally updating can be completed by any user.
