Dell printer problem

I've been refilling my cartridges at Walgreens and hadn't had any problems with it until today. When it was going to the message page saying I was low on ink I just overrode it by telling it to continue printing. Today, however, it's giving me an error message saying that I'm using an "unsupported" cartridge. Not true, just not buying a new one from Dell. Called Dell to ask how to get around this or even if I could and they were going to charge me $29. I refused to pay them that much money to answer a simple question.

I tried going to my printer settings but I really don't know what I'm doing and nothing is working. Are all new printers like this? Will I have to buy on-line from whatever company I buy the printer from forever? This really ticks me off. It's my printer, that I paid for but they are able to disable it until I buy more cartridges from them.
