"LOL" Cboy yep I am quick for sure. Ha! I followed your instructions and then I rebooted to make sure those icons would stay in place. Before I posted here I wanted to make sure that everything was working normal, after I rebooted walla those icons came back. "Smiles" Thank you so much for your help. This was a simple fix but I didn't know it at the time. I right clicked on the desktop to find that the backround had been changed, so I changed that but I had forgotten how to get the icons back. I still don't know how the backround got changed and my right clicking on the desktop was a stab in the dark, but when I did that I remembered to check the backround and that is when I discovered that what I was thinking was a white screen turned out to be an internet wallpaper backround. Myself I don't like that even being there, it gives you a false impression of something being wrong because it shows a white screen with gray lines. Thanks cboy for all of your help and I will post on the other thread a thank you to those who stepped in to help me. Thanks owbist. ravencajun, thanks for the compliment but I only had the first half of it figured out and cboy came to the rescue and helped me with the last half of it. I can't take all the credit. "Smiles" Then zep516 came in catching the fact that System Restore wasn't working right and gave me great information on how to correct that. This was the first time that I've had problems with my desktop, but I have changed the backround on it before and I remembered that and I thought why not check it out and see if I could get it to change and that is when I discovered that the backround had been changed and all I had to do was to put it back like I had it, but then I didn't know how to get the icons back and that's when cboy posted the solution for me. If that ever happens to me again I will know exactly what to do. Thanks owbist for telling me how to move the icons down to the taskbar. It sounds like a very difficult situation for you Jess... I doubt any of us will be able to help much, because if what you say is all accurate, then your SD isn't really behaving all that rationally, and there's not too much you can do about that. It does sound like he has a deep-seated disrespect for women as well as a short fuse. I can't imagine throwing my daughter out of the house at night for anything but the absolute worst behavior. What do you suppose would happen if you had a private talk with you mother along these lines: "I'm trying to be responsible by working to put myself through college, and save money by living at home. You know I can't afford a place of my own without going deep into debt, which I don't think would be wise. Since I am an adult, you and SD have a right to expect me to help around the house to help earn my keep. Do you think we could agree on what would be a reasonable list of chores for me to do -- and that if I do these chores as agreed, you and SD would stop pressuring me to leave?" Then ask you mom to discuss it with your SD? It might not work -- but then, you wouldn't really be any worse off for having tried.

The shower will work same as ever. That part only stop's water draining from tub. You can likely adjust the old part. That's why the rod is threaded and has a lock nut. Just "jiggle it"and don't apply a lot of force while pulling out and re-inserting or you risk bending it..
