sink color vs toilet color matching?

Am I being too concerned with matching the sink in the vanity with the toilet color? This is for a small power room that only has a toilet, of course. We will have wood flooring and the decorator that I work with found these ready made vanities made by anabella. The style is called regency and is 36 inches wide with a black top. Very traditional looking. The sink is not a white white, but sales rep called it a bone color. He said they do that because white white would be too stark. I always thought toilets should be white (we are getting a toto). Should I not get caught up in this or find a different vanity. Thanks so much for your help with this.

Personally, I think mixing white and bone fixtures makes the bone color look dingy. You can get Toto toilets in a bone color (your Toto dealer should be able to provide you with color chips so you can compare the colors), or you can switch out the sink - find out how the sink is attached to the top. If it's clips and silicone, you'll be able to remove the sink; if it's epoxy you are outta luck. (And if it's epoxy I wouldn't buy it anyway, because how would you replace the sink if you dropped something in it and cracked the sink? You'd be stuck with a cracked and possibly leaking sink or replacing the whole vanity top!) I also think there is absolutely nothing wrong with a white sink in a black top, I don't think it's "too stark" - I think it looks clean, neat and elegant.

Hi! That's the color but it is a little grayer. I haven't picked out the granite yet. I have picked out shower tile called Calabria . It actually has some of the pieces of tile with some light tan or beige it.It is shown on a floor but there are smaller pieces to use for the shower and I will probably pick up some of the same tile for the floor. It picks up the gray blue color then has some browns beige and gray in it. I haven't figured out the floor yet .I have chosen Brizo "Vesi" Brushed bronze fixures for shower and sink faucet. So I probably would want biscuit color sink and toilet don't you think? I will have crown moulding in white and the doors will be white though. I appreciate your input!

I can't answer your question about seperate colors, but I bought a Toto Augusta tub that is 5 ft cast iron. It is similar size and price as the Kohler.

@Lauren E The wall tile/tub do match each other, I've attached more of close up pics. To me, they are a cream/almond/ beige. (maybe slightly pink?). t's currently painted a khaki color. The vanity top is slighly pinkish and the floors are travertine. The lighting is awful - no natural light.

We just had this discussion about our vanity. We found that what they were calling "bone" was really a white with a shiny finish that the "white" didn't have. Therefore, it actually matched the white toilet. I also think that if they are a little different it doesn't matter because once the sink is against the countertop, whatever IT's color, it will be perceived differently anyway. So it really doesn't matter if they are slightly off.

Having said all that, I don't think that toilets need to be white.
