Not enough HDD to Defrag

Doing a "Google" I get the connect of the ~E... pig file is related to "Eraser" a utility I installed on my computer a few months back to Erase files that have been deleted. Seems it causes the accumulation of "junk?". The search also suggests the ~E...is hard to delete...still looking for help.

Perhaps you do not have a virus. With so little free space on your hard drive the swap file is tiny and the hard drive is constantly spinning up transferring data in and out of the swap file.

Try removing the file in safe mode or if that fails start up in DOS and do it there.

I would certainly do more work with the 'Buckingham' as it does appear to be happy about letting the zonation through on the other hand ,look at the 2 from '.Royal Cordovan' you can't miss the one parent there , and due to this i would cross those with plants like 6 and 7 and 10 to see if they would then over rule the 'Cordovan' traits in hiding the zonations but yet capture the shape and colour of 'Cordovan' Have done that type of thing with some Vrieseas ( why are they so slow ) and yes what is missed first time can be unlocked the second time .it is allways a surprise to see what dominates and what does not and thats where record keeping,and sharing info like this is so very important and rewarding ,it gives us so much to compare and then draw conclusions from , as for the spotted plants ,i feel that if backcrossed with H.L or say 6 and 7 you would get zonations ,its in there and the spots are probably no less than the zonations 'broken'up by the genes of the other parent and so theoretically should recombine to make zonations on a quantity of them ,its worth doing it just to find out hmmm? best of luck Yong ,they are lovely Jack

Try ravens advice. Here's how to do Safe Mode In case you need to. 1. Restart your computer. 2. When the machine first starts again it will generally list some equipment that is installed in your machine, amount of memory, hard drives installed etc. At this point you should gently tap the F8 key repeatedly until you are presented with a Windows XP Advanced Options menu. 3. Select the option for Safe Mode using the arrow keys. 4. Then press enter on your keyboard to boot into Safe Mode. 5. Try the defrag...

DO NOT pull it out Minnie. If you have XP there is a small icon near the clock with a left facing arrow on it. Hover over and the info will appear. Click this then click the pop up to remove, wait till it says it is good to remove Windows 7. Right click on Start right click on the thumb drive on the left side of your screen in the pop up click to eject.

My "right click" gave me an "Erase" and "Erase safe move" which I assume were added by the Eraser program, I decided to erase the subject folder. It took about 20 minutes but did as requested, the folder is now gone, and the HDD is less than half full.

Eraser should have a warning, maybe it did and as usual I didn't read. Still too, I find it strange that 10 GBytes isn't enough free space to defrag...seems the space needed is a percentage of the full size, some thing like over 15% needs to be free. So,I assume, a smaller disk may well be able to go through a defrag with only 10 GBytes free. Still trying to get used to these large numbers we now have when dealing with storage.
