I have been in contact with this company now over the past few days. They are very dedicated and helpful people. They really allow you to save lots of money on building a modular home. They allow you to buy the home wholesale cost but you have to do all the work. Now that will save you a TON of money but you can also hire a project manager to do all that work but it will add about $15,000 to the cost of the house. That is small price to pay to cut out all the headaches. Also even with spending $15,000 on a project manager you stil save a TON of money buying the moduklar home wholsale. Looks to be a great deal to me. I will look at using them in a year or so. The modular manufacturer is Custom Building Systems which also see to be a very good company. Interesting concept this all is.

In Rita May's defense, sometimes the choices we have to make are difficult. It's easy to say that it isn't a good idea to not have health insurance. But the cost can be prohibitive. I don't know if prices are uniform all over the country or not, but I can tell you that here in California private insurance costs are outrageous. And fewer and fewer employers are offering health insurance to employees, or are making them pay a large portion of it. And because DH has had cancer, changing insurances isn't a real option for us (remember pre-existing conditions). Every year when our contract renews, of course the price goes up. Last year we were paying more than $1,100 per month for the two of us to have medical and dental. In June, when our contract came up for renewal, it was going up another $200+. So we ended up moving to a plan with less coverage to bring the cost down. And this is with a high deductible. So every month I pay for the privilege of SAYING that we have health coverage, but we pay full price until our large deductible is met (we're healthy, so deductible is never met). We argue about this subject every month when I write the check. He says we're throwing our money away. I argue that, while I agree that it's not helping us out now, chances are that as we get older we may need to be hospitalized for one thing or another and that is when the insurance will become "worth it". Many people have to choose between having health insurance and having food on the table. It isn't any wonder that there are so many uninsured. Sad, sad, sad.

On nights when the temperature is going below freezing, cover the lilies. Cover in the evening before sundown to preserve as much heat as you can. Don't wait for it to drop to freezing. By then, the top part of the soil has lost too much heat. Don't skimp on the amount of area covered. The center of the covered area will be the warmest; The temperature lowers toward the edges and at the edge, it will be near the temperature of the uncovered ground. The next day, do not uncover until the temperature has risen above freezing. This could be a loosing battle. If the cold snap is too severe or lasts too long, nature will have its way in spite of your efforts. Covering at night works only when the temperature does not fall more than 2 to 3 degrees below freezing and for only a few hours at night.

I got one of the early Android phones, when first on the market 10 years ago, and Oh how liberating I found it compared to the Blackberry I had to use for work. I won't drink the Apple Kool-Aid. They've been ripping off their customers for too long, selling more sizzle than steak at higher prices than comparable alternative products. Smartphone hardware of any denomination is all pretty solid, it's the software and UIs that vary. I don't like the user experiences of Apple products, too rigid and inflexible. Well integrated but unable to offer alternatives many times. Give me my PC and Android phone and tablets any day!
