? RE: AdAware scan

A little back story. This past Friday we had a bad ice storm, my ISP lost the DSL line near me and it was yesterday when my service was restored, including a new modem.

So today I thought I I should run updates and scans. Spybot S&D was fine. AVG needed to be updated. Did that. During the scan a red Threat Alert popped up. It was something about a Trojan Horse/Downloader/music ???. It didn't stay up long enough for me to read it completely or decide to Ignore, Heal, Vault, etc. The scan kept running and under Results nothing was listed. Clicked Finish and this message came up:

There are unhandled objects. Do you still want to finish?

Do I? I have never had this situation before. What do I need to do now?

Think it may be asking you if you want to finish without looking at one of the other tabs first that has problesm showing there.

Sorry, but I don't understand what you mean. What tabs? What problems?

There was nothing in Results to indicate problems.

invasive??? I want spyware to do it's job, have np's with it, anytime you are on the web, whatever site you go to including this one spyware/cookies is loading into your PC,and all this does is slow down your PC...don't know bout you but I want rid of it ASAP...and Ad Aware was too slow for me....

You should request a full refund Luis LOL If you are that impressed with a good, free program simply remove it and use another program. There is plenty of choice.

My experience with Malwarebytes is its missing some bad guys all too often lately ... then superAntiSpyware seems to get most misses. fwiw; Microsoft now has a new download program.. an 'on demand' security scan... gig file, long scan.. read here.. Microsoft Safety Scanner Bad part is no definition updates... every ten days you have to reinstall the whole thing. Its a large download, and think maybe 1.5hr scan here. Picked up some minor junk the others missed. another fwiw.... For those familiar with Auslogics, 'Boost Speed' a special edition is being given away free... here at ... Gotta disagree a little bit here. Unless a spam is from someone you have used in the past, i.e. Best Buy, Amazon, etc. do NOT ever open a spam let alone "unsubscribe". Millions and millions of spam e-mails are dispatched daily looking for active e-mail addresses. To answer just one of these will verify the existence of your address and the flood gates will open. Spammers share/sell lists of valid addresses amongst themselves. Plus the chance of a virus is a possibility too. As far as web based services, Hotmail's filters have really improved in recent years. Yahoo's need quite a bit of improvement. If you subscribe to an independent ISP take a few minutes to read its FAQ's, Help and a telephone call to them if necessary. Establishing safe surfing and e-mail practices along with properly defined blockers/filters is the only remedy that is safe and efficient. DA

AdAware scanned and when finished the window didnt show any thing Critical,,, so I clicked Finish without opening the tab the arrow points to for Privacy items . That tab, in my instance right now, has a MRU(most recently used) item. Which is a privacy concern for some. Had I clicked the tab and deleted that item that pop up message saying you have Unfinished Objects wouldnt have appeared.
