I have the last dishes. I haven't used them in a tablescape yet, though. First I have to remember where I put them! :)

Single plates are good for vignettes or to hang on the wall - as I keep telling myself! I have a similar one to your black/white but it has a horse pulling a hay cart. Same border and I got it at HomeSense which is the same as TJMaxx and Marshalls. Maybe I'll look next time I'm there and find different themes to go w/the one I have.

I'm not telling how many single plates I have but I know I may have too many. They are hard to resist. ;-)

Oh, Karen, what a great haul! I love your new nutcracker, particularly the colors. Everything else is wonderful too. Of course you couldn't resist the greyhound, and oh my, the pheasants... They are killing me. Your plates are terrific; I esp like the Royal Staffordshire.

A table for one sounds just fine to me -- when I play around with dishes, I don't do multiple settings around the table.

When you are not using it, are you going to display the Staffordshire with your other toile you ordered? Would be so pretty.

Marshalls is another store that is not around here. Maybe I should move?

I love it all! Aren't you glad that Luvs gets to take the blame and you get to enjoy the goodies? Hey, it's a hard job, but someone has to do it!

We won't mention those things with the feathers that I'm loving so much this year!

I think I'm finished with my first tablescape using my ''things w/ feathers''. If I get up tomorrow and can't think of anything else to do with it, I'll take the pictures and try to get a post done soon.

I am babysitting the new 3 month old DGS for the first time tomorrow. I may do nothing but hold him and kiss him to death!!

Karen...you found some wonderful things. That nutcracker was a terrific buy and I love his size! Those Staffordshire dishes - I absolutely love. I bought one at Marshalls..(the Deer)from the same series, and I'm still hunting for more. (I'm not a deer hunter)...just in dishes...lol
Anyway, I would have snapped up those pheasants too...another fabulous find..and that greyhound bust, to add to your collection, he's grand looking.
So, all in all..you 'Get A Ticket And Can Move To Go!

Luvs got the blame for making me go, cause of the Nutcracker. But the pheasants and dishes I really can't lay on her. LOL. That goes to the rest of you. Now if I'd found acorns, then Luv would get more of course.
My dish curio will not hold my new purchases. So what the heck am I going to do now? Its not big enough to switch some of my greyhound figurines from the china cabinet in the LR. I love the black and white dish scenes and suddenly it seems I've acquired a 'collection' the past month. Ladies, ladies, I did NOT need another collection.
What am I going to do with you trouble-makers?! Moving to a bigger house and buying more cabinets isn't feasible...
its appealing tho. LOL.
I should just take my study (spare bedroom) and have someone put floor-to-ceiling shelves on ALL four walls! I think that might hold my stuff that doesn't fit in all my china cabinets. Is there a 12-Step Program for Obsessed Collectors of Stuff? Some of you Dish Divas could join with me, I'm sure.

OMG! Didn't all of you see that duct tape Miss Karen stuck all over my smiley face when I WARNED her NOT to go to Marshal's?????? She totally disregarded my warning and went anyway--and now she tries to say it's all MY fault that she got this fantastic nutcracker at a bargain price as well as pheasants, plates, a whippet bust, etc. etc. etc. Ahhh! The power of suggestion is strong and the power of pictures is almost overpowering in making all of us want more pretties, isn't it? We have all evolved into world class enablers! LOL

Karen, got any room for some of those metal plate holders so your new collection could be hung up? Just a thought. Glad you got to get out and go shopping--love all your new goodies--I'll willingly take the blame if you had a good time and are happy.

All kidding aside, your nutcracker was a super deal, the pheasants are pretty & the single dishes are great for vignettes, like Luckygal said. I have quite a few I use just for that, so not crazy, just practical!!!!

I am hanging my head in shame. LOL, sort of. Luvs did "warn" me NOT to go, she never said GO. But she knew what she was doing, waving a red flag in front of a bull!!

And Luvs, hang the plates? You've been in my house, don't you remember that wall space here is that tiny area between frames (and other plates)? I need more walls.
(my kids didn't find it funny when I put that on my Xmas list one year. LOL)

Yep, I had a good time today. DH drove me, I managed to send him to Men's Dept where he needed a few things. I had already checked out when he found me again. LOL. He never saw what I bought. How's that for planning! Tho he did carry all the bags in before he went to the golf course.

Karen, how could you pass up the nutcracker or the greyhound, or any of it. Beautiful things are just too hard to resist. I can sure understand the display issue, my friend told me if I hung one more thing on my walls they were going to fall in. One thing I did in my former home was in the kitchen my cabinets were not open above the top. So on that little wall space a put a plate rail all the way around the kitchen, it looked pretty and held a lot of goodies. Thanks for sharing all your goodies, it's like shopping with out leaving the house.

Actually it was funny I was checking out when he found me.
I'd told him I'd be in back of store at Home Decor section.
But he took awhile in Men's Dept, and I actually went thru my section pretty fast I guess. I kept watching for him, and finally figured HE was probably up front waiting on me.
So it was a (nice) surprise for him to show up when cashier was ringing me up. LOL.
Syble, I have that kind of small wall space above my kitchen cabinets. That is where my brown Hare in winter plates are hung. I love plates. I have quite a few rabbit ones, lots of greyhound-whippet ones, and some horse ones.
Plus the ones you saw in that curio.

Tammy, I did see a teapot but it just had a tiny cardinal on the lid. So didn't look like it went with this creamer.
I sure wish they'd had the sugar to match it tho.
