Sounds like a low slope roof? I'm guessing it's not composition as you said membrane so it must be 2 or 3 ply built up roof. Texas had quite a bit of hail recently ncluding a large part of Austin. Not having seen your roof it's hard to say but membrane roofing is hard to damage and I know, at least in Austin where the hail was fairly large in places, it was very rare to non existent. It's not likely that any damage exists under the membrane if no damage exists on top especially on a 6 yr roof. If it's truly compostion rolled roofing then that wouldn't apply and it would be just as damaged as the rest of the roof and very visible.

If you're having a hard time with it then demand an engineer. They are working with all of the insurance carriers and homeowners in the hail areas for this exact reason, to inspect roofs where an agreement can't be made to settle the dispute.

Thanks for the infor. Insurance said another adjuster would be coming out - however its the same one who says there is no damage. I've had 2 contractors say there is damage. They then add that if its not damaged now when they remove the damaged shingles all around it that will damage the seal. What should I do now?

What is the slope of the roof? Is it single or double coverage asphalt roll roofing? What do you mean by "remove the damaged shingles", I thought it was roll roofing? Are there two layers of roofing? How was the lower layer damaged if the top layer wasn't?

eaglemom100, just a tidbit of information regarding your insurance. You have the right to request a different adjustor. You can contact the TDI (Texas Department of Insurance) and they should be able to answer any questions you have and potentially file a complaint if warranted.
