My "green roof" is the north side of the house, it's growing moss. Maybe I should leave it? I suspect it's not a good idea to let it grow on asphalt shingles.

Knuckles just echoed my thought. In the Pacific NW lots of us unintentionally have green roofs. Moss just tends to grow on them in this climate. Sometimes a layer of really thick moss. Should we just ignore? I've been told this ruins the integrity of your roof.
