Searching for comparison of 'clean steel' vs stainless steel

Hi all,

I have finally narrowed down the refrigerator that I want. It is by GE, and comes in both stainless steel, and "clean steel." I can't find a shop in my area that carries the clean steel, and I can't find any side by side photos online.

Can anyone tell me about the visual difference? The fridge will be in a nook, isolated from the rest of the kitchen, so it needn't match any other appliances or fixtures. I really like that I can use magnets on the clean steel surface. But laminates make me nervous b/c scratching can compromise the integrity of the product (e.g. rust could develop).

One salesperson said the clean steel looked fake and plasticy, and his store only carries stainless.

1. Is it more shiny, or more matte than stainless?

2. Is it brushed, like most stainless is, or more glossy looking?

3. Darker gray? Lighter gray?

Smooth and shiny would be nice for my purposes!

Photos?

Thanks so much!

:-)
