It's actually the web browser you are using that is keeping track and not Google itself. I keep some of the web pages I have searched and just highlite and delete those I don't want. Just hover over those and click delete. To delete all of the entries assuming you are using IE7 do the following.... Click the Tools menu Select Delete Browsing History Click the Delete forms button Click the Yes button in the confirmation window. Click the Close button You can also click on Preferences next to the Google search box and near the bottom where it says Query Suggestion put a check in the button that says... Do not provide query suggestions in the search box. That will stop the auto suggestion when a similar letter is entered. Bob

Yes. When using Firefox (the one I just updated to), if I type http://www.google.com I now get directed to igoogle...always. In my version of Firefox (3.6.17) it is no longer possible to get the the plain old, cleaner-looking Google.com homepage anymore. Raven, the links you sent did not help to remedy this. Even the mentioned http://www.google.com/ncr sends me to the same page, iGoogle (personalizable page). I guess that's how it has to be with this version of Firefox. On the other hand, IE still let's me go to http://www.google.com. Although I'm not a Mac user, I read a thread on a Mac forum that mentions this iGoogle redirect as far back as 2005.

Terry I can do that yes but I would be doing it on every different website have just tried it. It is useful I know Ravencajun my Monitor is an HP W2207 its a widescreen. It says I can go 1680x1050 & this is what is is now with SP3. My DPI is 96. I presume I had it at 1680x1050 I cannot swear by it but I do know it was at the correct number. That sounds stupid I know .It is because I cannot remember offhand nos but it was the correct one Opened a good no of documents I have saved in both Word & DPF Some look a weird size others are fine . They are at 100% & if they were not large which was often the case I just bumped them up. Now I have 100 & 150 & I could swear I used to have a 125% I could use. I am not computer savvy & this has really upset me. I never ever had to keep changing Text size when I went from one Website to another & my eyesight is poor. I never use Word for doing anything am very elderly & my thing is usuing Photoshop Elements. Just looked with hubby at his Word stuff he is writing his Memories & its definetly OK. Have you any other suggestions ? Do you know what a widescreen should be set at? All I can find is HP on their site says "it goes to 1680x1050 " but does NOT say that this is what you should put it at if you know what I mean Thank you both for helping me . Poppygal

I do not think it is my ISP because like I say, I clear the cashe and all is well for a short time. Yes i did run in safe mode without add-ons. Same results. It almost seems like I am low on memory (RAM), but I have 2gigs worth.
