Jerry as I see it there can be no effective listing of all the tricks and tips available. Who would or could catalogue it and how? As you read this new scripts are being written, it is ongoing. You can have huge lists of 'Favourites' (I used to in my early internet days) but it becomes cumbersome trying to remember which is which even after creating dozens of creatively named folders.

As you seem interested in the nuts and bolts of computers you might find visiting computer geek forums to your liking. I have belonged to 2 of these for years now, in fact one has been my home page for over 5 years. The site of my home page members range mostly from perhaps 40 to 85 years old and represent all walks of life.

Thanks, you are one of the sources on this forum. I have peeked in on Geek a time or two, but I don't have it bookmarked, nor am I a member (or whatever is needed to interact). I may give it a try.

As far as interest, well I grew up with computers, being an "EE" for just over 40 years, but was mostly interested in hardware, did software design too: C language and Unix, some duplex OS for reliability. I do maintain the home computers, two active and a couple of "bench" PC's I experiment on (if I had the time). So most of my interest is defense/need driven, but I do read some too: PC Mag has been on my list for the last couple of years, I do tired of it and drop it for a year or two, then pick it up again. I'm interested in only about 15% of the content.

Your observation is on target to my concern, seems the idea of listing them would result in a list that is soon out of date.
