32' tall vanity??

I do not like the new 36" standard height for bathroom vanities and am desperately trying to find something closer to 32". They made them this height for generations, why did they have to change?? Its going to be for the kids bathroom that we've redone really nice so I'd like to find a halfway nice vanity to match that kids won't have a problem reaching the sink even with a step stool. I've searched the hardware stores, amazon, ebay, overstock and tons of random online stores. 36" is fine for a master bath but can anyone point me in the right direction for something shorter that still looks nice?

Sonia's are shorter I believe (our vanities are custom, modeled after the Sonia Europa, but our cab maker made them taller for us).

We bought s Bertch in around that height from a local lumber store for our hall bath.

I've decided to leave the makeup area alone as well as the divider wall - the wall makes a little more sense with a stand alone vanity in the main bath area. I'll probably put a little decorative shelf or tall plant in between the stand alone vanity and the wall to tie everything together. The drawer fronts of the makeup area a white laminate - I will get them re-laminated to match the color of the new cabinet and paint it's base accordingly. Moving electrical around to accommodate the old top size was just going to be too expensive so I decided to work around the existing configuration as is and just forget filling the wall with vanity and going with a nice furniture style base - less cost too! Recommend good quality dog crate 32' tall?

Be careful with cloroxing the crate. Loaned a parrot cage to a friend who did that to clean it up before she returned it and the bleach removed the finish and rusted the cage. The finish on bird cages may be different or she may have used it to strong or left it on too long, don't know but normally clorox doesn't need a long contact time to kill what it's going to kill. Look at Midwest pet homes web site. Just be careful. They have a new line of crates called i-crates that to me the gauge wire they are made of is way too light for a large dog. Tall mirrors vs floating vanity?

I've never heard that rule either. I'm sure a giant / tall mirror with floating vanity would look fine. I like how this one starts nearly a foot above the counter (which looks great and is also very practical -- it will cut down on how much water splashes the mirror). I don't like the mirror being under this one, but otherwise looks fine: I think this particular vanity is ugly, but the proportions look fine to me:

I am 5’ 7”, my husband is 6’2” and our vanity heights are all 36”. I think 32” would be too low unless you are shorter in stature.

I've done some research lately on the same topic. The vanities I found available in a lower height include Strasser Woodenworks (32"), Bertch and WoodMode/Brookhaven (both 31.5") With kids, you should consider plywood construction. Using lots of feedback from both the kitchen and bath forums here, I was able to find a local cabinetmaker to make me exactly what I wanted for about the same price as any of these in solid wood. Maybe people are taller now, but kids aren't and I certainly am not!

We ordered this one for our kid's bathroom. The sink is very easy to clean. Height is 34"
