just a heads up to those still on xp many are having difficulties with the new Chrome, it is not installing and working well. This is a discussion about some of the problems people are encountering. Can't install Chrome on Windows XP SP3 Of course IE9 can not be installed on xp either and the info from firefox is that the new firefox 4 beta will not be real xp friendly. They are all beginning to move away from xp support. Are the new beta features for xp ? Can I update xp so they will work?

I do as Owbist mentioned, I use google maps and the street view options. I think the results of both are likely about the same age. for a different view and possibly more recent try the one by microsoft, for me it shows very different views than what I see on google. Was called microsoft virtual earth now called bing maps, you can just google that. When searching for homes to buy I used all of them. you should also take a look at flash earth it lets you switch between several of them including google earth and microsoft virtual earth Flash Earth Viewer

I'm not sure I've got an explanation for it, but if you click on the illustration, 4 more panels appear. 1. The word, Google, is laying on the workbench and a tinkerer begins ti tinker with it. 2. A child appears as the work progresses. The word, google is being transformed into some other Rube Goldberg contraption. 3. The work progresses. A funnel appears on the left and the main machine is in the center. 4. The machine has been turned on and it spurts fireworks and jets of steam. This is my take, however, the illustrations are so nebulous that it is not clear what is intended.
