Google Chrome browser just updated to version 10, and it flies!!! Wooo, hooo!

To each his own, I guess. Good that we are not all just alike in our likes and dislikes because that would make for a very boring world. :-)

Thanks writersblock - that's a great point. I'd planned on going stainless in the master but suddenly it started sounding a bit gray or something. Dull might be the word I wanted. I just ran so far away from chrome 10-15 years ago that it feels odd to be going back to it! :)

cat_mom - Yes! It's been amazing. This is the first whole room remodel I've ever done, and it just feels...good. :P fori - Thank you! I tried to pick a "manly" lavender, so that it would be fairly unisex. I think I succeeded, it is somewhat muted so that helps it be more grey-ish lavender. minal - I wish I could say that we did it ourselves, but no, we had a contractor do the tile, glass door, and the plumbing. They did a great job and did everything the way I would have, with no weird grout lines or tile sizes. I'm very pleased, and they were affordable, too! My husband and I tackled the electrical including the new fan (attics suck), and also the vanity knobs and accessory hardware. treasuretheday - Thanks, and the accessory likes the new bathroom too! She's always loved bathtubs and showers, and she just goes in there and hangs out randomly now. :)

chrome or stainless look pedestal...where do I find?

I'm looking for a 'pedestal' for a kitchen cabinet at the end of my island that "floats" 10 1/2" inches above the floor. I would prefer to find something about 10" to 12" in diameter to use as a single pedestal. Or, I could use something at least 4 inches in diameter and use four of them for legs. I've searched the web for metal legs but can't find anything close to the height and girth that I'd like. Any ideas?

While you are in Chrome click on the the 3 dots in upper right hand corner and go to settings, then Extensions. You should fine it in there. Disable it.

just a heads up to those still on xp many are having difficulties with the new Chrome, it is not installing and working well. This is a discussion about some of the problems people are encountering.
Can't install Chrome on Windows XP SP3

Of course IE9 can not be installed on xp either and the info from firefox is that the new firefox 4 beta will not be real xp friendly. They are all beginning to move away from xp support.
Are the new beta features for xp ? Can I update xp so they will work?

I have seen what you have shared RC. I am just wondering if we are going to see the defiant, resistant, and somewhat childish upheaval that we saw when Vista tried to bring the previous O/S users, read here XP, into the 21st century.

In reading the information in RC's first link, it turns out the person did not have the proper version of SP3 but had RC2. Once the proper version was installed, then Chrome updated just fine.
