I also posted this question on the KT for you. I hope you, or anyone in the know for that matter, will give their opinion.

Is this one any good? And while I'm asking questions, I have verizon dsl, any tablet I should happen to get will work with it right? And I apologize in advance for asking dumb questions.

Anyhow, can I surf and email, fb, gw, etc. on this one?

Am I wasting 50 bucks, and should save it toward a different Android tablet that's a 3.0 or better? If you really think that, please tell me. If this is not a good name, or you wouldn't buy it I'd would appreciate your input. Thanks!

I won't comment on the tablet, but I do have one thing to say about 1saleaday. I've made one purchase with them, and I did receive the item I paid for. However, it took a lot longer than the 2 weeks they told me initially. It was more like six weeks. I wasn't concerned because the total cost was only $2 and I never tried to contact them, but I've heard horror stories about others who have tried. Good luck.

Thanks for responding azinoh. I did what another poster suggested and searched for reviews. They are dismal at best. I only ever ordered from 1 sale once, their shipping wasn't lightning fast, but didn't take 6 weeks, that's awful. Anyhow, think I'll pass on this, and beg the puter gurus to help me select a decent tablet. So what's the verdict on Kindle Fire?

I would suggest Avast but what do I know since my ASUS PC now appears to be bricked due to this virus. I started full scans of my spyware/malware programs last night to try to identify and clean out this virus, which I also got in the course of a recipe search, apparently from the Food Network. Unfortunately my son got up this morning, saw my netbook sitting there with the clamshell up, thought I'd left it on by accident, and shut it down. Now it won't boot, not even in safe mode. I know the winlogon.exe file was corrupted and had scheduled a boot scan in Avast, but what it does now is cycle constantly between the blue screen with a message that flashes past far too quickly for me to read it, and the windows boot screen. It never comes up. Since it was shut down before I got up this morning, I also didn't get to write down my XP license number, so even though I have access to an external DVD and an XP installation disk, I DON'T have a valid license # to enter. I fear my netbook is bricked, all because of a recipe for apple streusel pie.

I do not print envelopes and I agree it does seem like a bad plan on their part, I guess they think it will be kept on some kind of stand that all sides are accessible. Mine is on a rolling cabinet that has file drawers in it so I can actually move it quite easily to reach the back. I don't know any thing that would help but you might use their chat or contact info to ask them about the crinkled up issue that does not seem like that should be happening. I have never even tried that feature of mine. I do all my bills online and I rarely ever use an envelope other than the occasional card to someone so it was not a problem for me. I do love my printer too! I recently did a presentation at our Garden Club on daffodils and I had printed out several really nice pictures from online sources and everyone thought they were real photos they were so clear and the colors were so vivid.Glad I made the switch to laser. I am very happy you are pleased with yours as well.

Tatertots casserole preheat oven 350 spray 13x9 dish with pam mix all ingredients together in a large bowl ( make sure you get all tatertots coated pour into pan spread evenly bake 35 to 40 mins (I cook mine about 40-45) 1 can cream of mushroom soup 8 oz sour cream ( I use 16 oz size)* 1 onion chopped 1-2 cup grated cheese 1 package tatertots (I use onion ones large) some recipes call for 1 stick melted butter also. You can add chopped up ham or bacon too. Definitely use the 16 oz sour cream! I do not add the melted butter and I always use the large bag of tots and the 16 oz sour cream. It makes a full 13x9 pan, so plenty. If I want it to be more of a meal I add diced ham or bacon or even cooked sausage. It is good with a package of the Jimmy Dean pre cooked sausage crumbles in it.

I got mine at Bed Bath and beyond it is priced at $99 there and I used their 20% off coupon to bring it down to seventy something which was a good price. The model I got was the GR-4N that is important because that is the newest model. Online I was finding some for cheaper but they were the older model. the new model has reversible plates so no extra plates to store and it also has a built in slide out grease tray which is much better than the earlier model which had a little cup you had to put under the front drip edge to catch the grease. I absolutely love the Griddler. I had been wanting one for a while, had done a lot of research on brands and reviews and that one really has some great reviews. I have used it almost every night since I bought it. Did veggies, panini sandwiches, burgers, steaks, boneless pork loin chops all kinds of stuff and it was all delish. Very fast cooking too. I have not used the griddle side yet. the plates just snap off and on with a button and are super easy to clean, but can go in the dishwasher. The chicken I am doing tonight I put in a ziplock bag with some olive oil, garlic salt, and Old West Mesquite seasoning mix and let it marinate in that. I use the spray olive oil on the sandwiches and meats when I cook on it which is what the directions say to do (or brush on olive oil) The pork loin chops which were close to an inch thick I sprayed with olive oil then sprinkled on ground cracked black pepper and fresh ground sea salt that is all and they were so good. I did reply over there for you. I would not get any Android under 2.3.
I do recommend the vizio vtab1008, which is what I got for Christmas. You can find it for under $200 and it is better than the fire. Amazon changed Android to make them much less useful, they really want to restrict you to shopping with them.

The visio company has said they Will be putting out an update to 3.2 soon which will really be a great deal.
Go to Amazon search for vizio vtab1008 they have all the features and specs. I know it is available at Walmart and was at same and Costco for $189. I got mine for $149 at overstock.

What ever you get just stay at 2.3 and above.

To answer the original question it isn't your Internet connection (DSL) but rather if you have a wireless router (or you DSL modem has one built in). Then you'll be able to connect with a wireless tablet.

Just as a bit of trivia, at one point there was a wireless router that could actually use a dial-up connection. It was designed for business users so that there was a back-up should the broadband connection fail.

K-Mart has this tablet for $149.99 + $6.95 shipping. I don't know if it's available in their stores or not.

Today in big lots ad they have a nextbook 7" android 2.3 with multitouch screen for $123 one per person.

Oh that is a great buy!!! I was at costco Saturday and talking to the guy in that dept he said the vizios flew off the shelves at $189 and he missed getting one he was hoping one would be returned. He said that was the best and fastest selling tablet ever.

They sold out every where. I got real lucky!! I love mine.

I read that at the CES Vizio is introducing a new 10" tablet. The sale price has not been announced as yet. Unlike all the others, it has 90 degree corners, not rounded off at all. Sounds most interesting.
