i have a basic jacuzzi tub with air verses water jets from home despot...around $700, nice 21" deep tub to contain splashes as well...its a shower tub set up/

That is sort or what we are looking for. Does it come in a model that is not drop in? We weren't planning on doing a surround, don't have one now.

You can do it for yourself if you want it. I wouldn't do it just for resale. If someone is looking for a jacuzzi they will want it in the master bath. I would personally prefer not having a jetted tub in a kid's bath.

I actually want it for myself! Since it is the only bath in the house, I did used to take baths in it before we had kids. I would love to be able to take a relaxing bath once an awhile. My DD can't wait! Of course she thinks it is going to be her bath, but DS is still living here, he is 19. So no to pink tiles! It will be neutral, she can have pink towels!

we have a 32 inch deep japanese soaking tub in the master. in the higher end homes, you're seeing more air jet tubs show up because you can use them safely with kids, and you can use products (bubble bath etc) which you couldn't with the older style water jets.

i got the idea after seeing how much my girlfriends kids love the jACuzzi tub in mom's room. i'm sure ds will want to dive in ours lol but this does allow for a nice deep bathtub and contains some splashes :)

Can you give me the model number for your tub. I can't find one like that at my store, geesh I hate how unorganized they are!
