Well, IncrediMail has probably responded to you by now. LOL

I'm afraid I don't exactly know what you mean by "downloads." I'm thinking they are not actually being deleted from IncrediMail. But, it can't download something that hasn't been sent and hundreds of the same emails wouldn't be sent a second time, right? So, I think what you're saying is emails keep appearing in your Inbox even though you have deleted them. Am I right?

Before you attempt steps for possible solution, please make sure it is the Inbox you are viewing and not the Deleted folder or the Sent folder. I have often fooled myself before discovering I was viewing the wrong folder.

Quick fix:
Select all the emails you want to delete. Hold down your Shift key and hit the Delete key. This deletes them without sending them to the Deleted Items folder.

The above may not work if your Inbox and/or Deleted Items folder are old from extended use. If you still need to fix the problem, follow these steps...........

Note: In the IncrediMail directory, there are four folders you will have to delete. Before performing the following steps, please make sure there are no emails in these folders you want keep because they will not survive this process. So if there are any you want to keep, please move them to another location first. Also, don't worry about deleting these folders. IncrediMail will regenerate them the next time you open it.

Go to Tools > Options and under the General tab, click the Data Folder Settings button

Here is my complete path, but yours will be different.
E:\Documents and Settings\Mallory\Local Settings\Application Data\IM

Now shut down IncrediMail.

Follow your path to IM and open the Identities folder.

You will see a folder with a very long name made up of a bunch of numbers and letters. Open that folder.

Then open the Message Store folder

The four files you want to delete:
Deleted Items.imh and Deleted Items.imm
Inbox.imh and Inbox.imm

Sometimes, these folders act quirky and dysfunctional once they become full. Deleting them allows IncrediMail to restore those folders to a new and fully functioning condition.

Doesn't that symptom usually mean that the option "leave messages on server" has been selected in your ISP's email settings?
