I'd be happy to add more, I guess I'm just confused about what's wanted. I don't see a thing about countertops, and I'm not understanding what part(s) of the island would be walnut/black. * painting them off-white * adding dark knobs/pulls * installing a dark granite, tumbled backsplash * stainless appliances (all done) * we would paint or stain that dark brown (like walnut) or black. So... would the whole thing be dark? Or just the parts that are, in your original picture, cream? Would the part that's painted be dark too? I know you said you don't have the same legroom, but I'm unsure of the materials change as well.

I may not be tuned to the lingo here, though. We can stay online here, so anyone else can chime in with other tips or methods :) Are you saying he wants to see an image of you on a white background? So then using one of the selection tools, you could outline yourself and then hit copy/paste. Then you have an object of yourself separate from the rest of the photo (background). Select on the background area and use some of the color functions or the exposure and light functions to change it to white. You'll likely need to select the pic of yourself and use the tool for blurring edges to soften the transition between yourself and the background. Do a soft shadow on that object, too, for a little depth : ) Make any sense yet?

Okay, finally had a little more time to work out what I am envisioning! Please ignore the fact that I'm very amateur at doing this sort of thing, but here is what I came up with: I haven't learned to use the 'magic wand' feature in Photoship which would be so very helpfuf for me, so I basically had to draw over the pic. you have. So, with that in mind--what do you think of a brickish sort of color with a black counter top and base-board and pewter hardware or black?

I am a dressmaker, sometimes I get small orders from local stores for some of my items. I needed to put labels in the clothing stating the size, fabric content, washing instructions and country of origin. I also wanted to put my logo and web address in the clothing label. I needed an inexpensive solution for creating individual labels. Here is what I came up with and it works rather well. Making your own personalized labels: 1. Design your label: I used the Avery business card making software (free download) 2. Cut a piece of fusible, woven interfacing the same size as your printer paper (8.5" x 11") 3. Place the interfacing on a piece of paper. Using a warm iron, fuse just the edges of the interfacting onto the paper, being careful to keep it smooth and free of air bubbles. 4. After you have printed your labels onto the interfaced paper, carefully remove the interfacing from the paper. Place the interfacing onto a piece of pressed, white polycotton or cotton fabric and fuse the interfacting to the fabric. Now you have a sheet of labels you can cut out and use. After you cut them out, you can zig zag the edges if you want. I haven't found the edges to fray in the washer because they are fused. I have a Lexmark printer I bought at Walmart. The black ink holds up in the washer, but the color ink washes out. If you want to have color in the labels, use a waterproof ink. Here is a link that might be useful: Avery Templates
