I love those old cabinets, simple gorgeous. Hope someone can help you with the photoshop.

You need to strip the paint from the hinges and pulls.

You are asking for a lot of work on the part of a photoshopper because your cabinets are a mess with many paint splotches.

tcarterebd, would you consider something like a brick red or a BM Cottage Red? If so, I have been working on
doing the view suero did for you, but in a color sort of like the reds I mentioned. I haven't finished it yet, it is
a bit of a challenge, especially for someone self-taught as I am.

Okay, finally had a little more time to work out what I am envisioning! Please ignore the fact that I'm very amateur
at doing this sort of thing, but here is what I came up with:

I haven't learned to use the 'magic wand' feature in Photoship which would be so very helpfuf for me,
so I basically had to draw over the pic. you have. So, with that in mind--what do you think of a brickish
sort of color with a black counter top and base-board and pewter hardware or black?

Make that a black 'toe kick' although I think black baseboarding could be cool, too!!

I keep thinking about your 'project' and wondering!

So-----did you make a decision about what color to use yet?

I'd sure love to see what is finally done to those cabinets--lots of work to be done that will be very

there seemed to be newer cabs going on in that room right next to the older bank of cabs.

I hope they end up a nice classic colour, like white or cream, but the brick is nice---or even a soft yellow or sage. I guess it just depends upon the house and subsequent decorating, but those beautiful old cabinets seem to be "asking" for a classic treatment, not a nouveau faux sinish.

Are you going for a classic look or more of a funky look? What's the decor like in the rest of your house. Do you have lot of bright/bold colors?
