I put one in my kids shower tub combo. I hate shower curtains touching me too. When you install it consider what is next to the tub like the toilet try to have the curtain a bit more towards the tub and not on top of the toilet so much. We are using that bathroom now cause of a remodel and we could have moved the rod over just one more inch cause when I went to sit on the toilet the other day the shower curtain came with.. Yikes! well I just went and measured and I think were like 5" away but when you hang a curtain they poof and well you know the rest.

Difficult to picture whether this would work, but could you do either one (if you could have some kind of bracket at the opposite side) or two (if you cannot have a bracket on the non glass brick wall) vertical (floor to ceiling or top of tub to ceiling) tension rod? - here is one with a shower caddy for $30 - (you could take the baskets off)- that extends to 9 feet high. It could go on the glass brick end of the shower as close to the wall as possible. You could figure out how to attach a horizontal shower curtain rod to it (with screws or other hardware). Then the opposite end of the shower curtain rod could either be attached to another vertical pole (again, floor to ceiling or tub top to ceiling) or some kind of bracket attached to the outside end of the wall opposite the glass brick wall. I can imagine some kind of metal hardware loop that would capture and hold the end of the shower rod, but cannot say for sure what would work. The best might just be two vertical tension rods with a horizontal shower rod screwed to them horizontally (with removable screw assembly for dismantling and storage until you need to use it in your beautiful shower). Hi G.S. I haven't attempted to return mine to Bed, Bath and Beyond yet... we were not as careful as we should have been opening it, and it will be tough to repackage but I'm going to try. If you can figure out a way to additionally reinforce the setup, please let me know. Maybe we'll give it another go. In my opinion, the problem is that the anchor screws are just so tiny. I noticed the hotel set had just slightly larger, meatier anchor screws. I'll be interested to hear more of your experience... Lynn

I got the YNL shower curtain rod recommended above from Amazon (thank you @Sarah Pecor!) and found these shower curtain hooks in brass that match pretty well from Parachute. They have a nice weight to them and when I walk in the room to me it all matches. They don’t stand out and don’t look super yellow which is what I’ve been trying to avoid. I find that brass looks different in different lighting and also different in person vs in pictures. To me it’s close enough and I’m happy with the closeness to my delta trinsic champagne brass hardware.
