Comments (16)I don't sell LaCornue or Lancanche nor do I sell any appliance. I just offer my unbiased advice to suggest that you shop and decide if you want looks with decent performance at an incredible premium or much more functional power and good looks in another range...more bang for your buck. I shopped and compared them all and admit that the Lancanche and LaCornue are unmatched as to beauty but there are many other great looking ranges out there with much more power and more functional cook surfaces. Biased views from sales people who stand to profit from their advice here is exactly why merchants are prohibited (or used to be) from soliciting business from this advice forum. Not that it is not a great unit but it is, at least in appearance if not in fact, a biased view....See MoreLa Cornue, Cornu Fe 110 cooking
Comments (3)Dear Sushipup, Congratulations!!!! I am So, So Happy For YOU!! What a great way to kick off the New Year! The La Cornue is a small obsession of mine and I cannot wait to post some day the same great news that I have one! I apologize I have nothing to provide you regarding your baking sheet question. However since you are now a new proud owner; I must ask for more info on your new baby. What color did you go with? What is your trim? Got pictures? What are you going to cook next? Again, Congratulations I'm really Excited for YOU! Happy New Year! Cheers!...See MoreFunction/Reliability/Service of La Cornue CornuFe110 or AlberTine
Comments (62)We've had ours for 7 years now (pic way up above) and I do love it. HOWEVER... one side of our oven broke in September (the convection element needs to be replaced), and the part to replace it still has not come in - 4 months later we are still waiting. The warranty is 5 years, so we are out of luck with La Cornue working with us and have to rely on our local retail establishment for service work. The oven sizes are fine, unless you plan on doing a giant turkey. We've done an 18 lb turkey no problem, and I love doing roasters in it. Cleaning - the ovens have sides - top and bottom as well - that remove for cleaning so it's not a complete nightmare. But if you are used to self-cleaning ovens you may not like it. All that being said, we are overall happy with it. But if we ever need another oven, I doubt I would go with the same brand only because service has been very difficult. Good luck!...See Morehas anyone put two La CornueFe stoves together?
Comments (5)Patricia, This seems to be your copy-paste answer to any question regarding anything larger than what "you" have. If a couple wants to cook together at the same time, a 36" range won't do. If you want to have a built-in grill, a steamer and 4 burners in one place, a 36" range won't do. If you want to cook your main dish, sides and desserts at the same time, at different temperature, and keep them warm before serving, a 36" range won't do. You get the idea. There are many practical reasons for a larger range in a private residence, and above all, if someone wants the look, convenience and versatility of a 60" range and money is no object, why not? In the case of Lacanche or La Cornue, the range becomes a design feature of the home, just like a fancy dining table, a nice couch or a piece of art on the wall. Ventilation will by default be more expensive, but not necessarily noisier. One could even argue that catering is easier that way. No one gets to see your range (eliminates the design factor), you're most likely the main / only cook when you're working (no need for room for a second cook), the cooking can most likely be done in stages since it doesn't get served right away, etc...Different strokes for different folks, I think is the saying :) And if my memory serves me well, you also have a double wall oven along with your range, so it's not exactly fair to say that a 36" range covers all your needs. If someone were to ask "I'm single and I cook once a week, do I need a 60" range?", I would agree with you. That's not the point here....See Moreoruboris
