I really like our Wolf convection microwave. We use it for micro, convection, and mixed micro-convect cooking. No popcorn. The turntable is 14" in diameter; a 9x14 pan is too big to rotate on it.

I'll explain my post (the 1st response to OP), but I won't get into a debate over which range is best, because feelings run high among some folks, and I respect everyone's individual preferences. For myself only (I have the 30" Wolf DF range), I never, ever Wok cook, so having instant, high heat flames is not, and never will be, important to me. I sautee all of the time, and the heat produced by my burners more than meets my sautee requirements. Likewise, while people sometimes talk about how many BTUs their ranges produce and how they can bring water to a boil in "x" minutes, that has never been important to me. The BTUs on the range I have are more than sufficient for the kind of cooking I do...which is home variety, often at a gourmet (but certainly not professional) level. I wanted a range that had wonderful low burner output and could melt chocolate without burning, could hold a sauce without scorching, etc. And the DF does that beautifully. I like the fact that 3 of the burners on the 30" range have a high BTU (I think it's 15,000 - but don't quote me), and the one in the back has only 9,000 BTUs for its high heat level. All of that works wonderfully well for the way I cook. So, bottom line, I recognize my needs may not be similar to people who are much more professional in the kitchen, who need a range with a higher level of performance. For my wants the DF range (with its wonderful convection oven, which I truly love) makes me ecstatic every time I use it, and produces fabulous meals.

There are divided opinions on that topic - some serious bakers swear by electric ovens for the fact that they can provide more even heat for baking cookies, cakes, etc. Also, electric ovens are usually self-cleaning whereas most gas ovens are not. Gas ovens are generally considered better for things that benefit from moist heat like roasted meats and poultry and breads. Also, gas ovens have a gas broiler which is generally considered much better than an electric broiler. The Wolf dual fuel range is actually a very nice product - but it has a lot more electronics than the all-gas. Also it has sealed burners whereas the all-gas has semi-open burners. Now I prefer sealed burners but their are many people on this forum who don't. The bottom line is that the Wolf dual fuel is a reasonable choice but not for the reasons that your salesman gave you.

I was set on all Wolf cooking for our kitchen renovation--a 48" range top with grill and griddle and the Wolf single convection oven (M Series), and the Wolf convection steam oven. I'm considering Miele instead for a couple of reasons--the oven has a rotisserie and the steam oven is both plumbed and has a broiler. Thermador will be coming out with a 48" range top with grill and griddle option later this fall, and their oven also has a rotisserie. If I don't go with Wolf, I won't be able to take advantage of any of their promotions. I'm not sure how I'll like the look of the Miele and Thermador ovens to the right of the Subzero 36" separate freezer and fridge fridges (stainless with transitional handle). I'm out of space to panel the refrigerators--I don't have an inch to spare for the overlay. I could step down to 24" convection oven with Miele, but I'd prefer not to. Any recommendations?
